Meet Kelyn Cooper!
Kelyn began dancing at the age of two at her mothers dance studio. Her freshman year of high school at the age of fourteen she began training at Mark Foehringer’s Conservatory of Contemporary Dance Arts where her passion and love for dance really grew. Kelyn is currently in her fourth year of study at San Jose State University where she is working towards her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. Throughout her time dancing, she has been fortunate enough work with amazing artists such as Mark Foehringer, Mike Esperanza, Kara Davis, Doug Varone, Dominique Serapio, Jill Yager, Heather Cooper, and Raphael Boumaila. Kelyn has been an active member of the University Dance Theater, a pre-professional company, at San Jose State University under the direction of Raphael Boumaila for two years. During her time with University Dance Theater, she has performed masterpieces choreographed by Jose Limón (restaged by Raphael Boumaila) as well as original works created by Heather Cooper, Dominique Serapio, Kara Davis, Doug Varone, and Mike Esperanza. Kelyn is currently on faculty at Dance Academy USA in Cupertino teaching ballet and jazz to all ages from four years old to adults.
