Meet Justin Lee!

Justin Lee is a third-year student at San Josè State University studying Radio, Television, and Film. He is currently one of the 5 officers on in the club Film Production Society (FPS). He has directed the FPS Winter Short film What Lurks, as well as working in the departments of Production Design and Grip & Electric for several short films, and other projects. He is currently a Technician at the San Josè State Event Center and Corporate Audio Visual (CAV).

Meet Sam Perrings!

Sam Perrings is a fourth year at SJSU and is relatively new to working on professional sets. He worked on his first professional film set this year working on the short film Low Budget, directed by Sameer Mahawar. He has a passion for screenwriting and has written multiple short screenplays and is currently working on a feature, and is interested in getting involved with art design for future films. For Super Reel’s upcoming short film Business Means Business, he is working in the art department.

Meet Michael Jarrett!

Michael Jarrett is a fourth year at San Jose State University, studying Radio Television and Film. He is the Vice President of the Film Production Society, a SJSU student organization dedicated to creating a strong and supportive community of filmmakers. Michael is an aspiring cinematographer. He says that his love of being on set along with a passion for combining the technical with the artistic keeps him striving to improve.

Meet Kelyn Cooper!

Kelyn began dancing at the age of two at her mothers dance studio. Her freshman year of high school at the age of fourteen she began training at Mark Foehringer’s Conservatory of Contemporary Dance Arts where her passion and love for dance really grew. Kelyn is currently in her fourth year of study at San Jose State University where she is working towards her Bachelor of Fine Arts in Dance. Throughout her time dancing, she has been fortunate enough work with amazing artists such as Mark Foehringer, Mike Esperanza, Kara Davis, Doug Varone, Dominique Serapio, Jill Yager, Heather Cooper, and Raphael Boumaila. Kelyn has been an active member of the University Dance Theater, a pre-professional company, at San Jose State University under the direction of Raphael Boumaila for two years. During her time with University Dance Theater, she has performed masterpieces choreographed by Jose Limón (restaged by Raphael Boumaila) as well as original works created by Heather Cooper, Dominique Serapio, Kara Davis, Doug Varone, and Mike Esperanza. Kelyn is currently on faculty at Dance Academy USA in Cupertino teaching ballet and jazz to all ages from four years old to adults.

Meet Brandon Walters!

Brandon Walters is a third year full time student at San Jose State University currently studying music. He has been professionally gigging for 8 years and has made a name for himself on the music scene in the Bay Area. Along side of being a full time student, he is also in the Jazz Orchestra at San Jose State University and varies different groups covering a wide range of genres and personnel. His experience included gigs such as recording on albums, musicals, freelance work, and being a member of diverse types of groups and projects. He also is a professorial sound engineer who runs a stage that holds live music for San Jose Jazz. His background in film is not large but he has an immense appreciation for it and enjoys the collaboration between the two mediums.

Meet Erica Malca!

Erica Malca is a Junior at San Josè State University and does not have a long history working in professional film. She worked on her first professional set this year for director Sameer Mahawar’s short film Low Budget as a script supervisor. Now she’s putting her costuming class from last semester to good use by buying (not making) the costumes and styling hair and makeup for Super Reel’s upcoming short film, Business Means Business.
