For over 50 years, Tom has been a tremendous booster of Waterbury and a generous supporter of many of our region’s organizations. The event is 6pm to 9pm with a special ceremony at 7pm featuring tributes by distinguished guests. From vaudeville to radio and television fame, these comedy icons made audiences double over in laughter from the 1920s to the 1950s.

Today we kick off the 11th Johnny Mercer Foundation Writers Grove at Goodspeed Musicals. 34 musical theatre-makers will descend upon the Goodspeed campus over the next four weeks to work on 16 brand new musicals.
