I wish I learned this sooner 😫 Growing up poor made me very money hungry as I grew older. 💰I wanted everything I could never afford. I wanted to buy the Hollister clothes, get my nails and hair done, and drive something I didn’t want to duck down in pulling into a parking lot. I wanted money so bad that I CHOSE to go back to work after having my daughter. Plus we were broke AF as young adults and we needed the money 😆 But you get my point. Even if we were comfortable, I wasn’t going to be “that” mom who depended on a man (or anyone for that matter) to take care of me. Fast forward 15 years… we have a 6 year old boy and I CHOOSE to stay home with him and my homeschooled daughter. What used to be something I ran away from, is the very thing I ended up chasing after. 😵💫I wanted to be home with my kids. But we still struggled. I took a crazy leap of faith and started a digital marketing business. 🥹Cause at the end of the day, experiences cost money and time. Which we had neither. I wanted to be home but we needed income. Even though my better half makes a six figure income… it barely puts food on the table for a family of 4. Crazy isn’t it? It’s so dang hard to live a comfortable life. Every time you get one step ahead, you’re knocked down 3 steps. I KNOW how this business is changing lives. It’s going to change mine too. Maybe even spent your hard earned money on an Instagram coach. 🫣I’ll list out the basic “do’s” that’s commonly thrown out there to grow. THEN I’ll tell you my personal strategy that many don’t agree with but it’s clearly working. 😎The basics:👉 Create 4-7 second reels 👉 Use trending audio (has little arrow next to the audio) 👉 Use a captivating hook👉 Have good lighting and wipe your camera clean before recording. (You’d be surprised how much better your reel looks after you do this) 👉 Give your audience value in the caption Got that down? Ok. Now let’s move on to my personal strategy that some will disagree with. 👇 🌻 I DO NOT copy people. I know you’re suppose to mimic what’s working for other people. But it’s getting old seeing the same stuff over and over and over again. Do you know how many “stirring coffee” reels I see on a daily basis? I scroll right by cause I’ve seen the same thing 100 times already. 🌻 Let your personality shine through in your b-roll. Show people a little about your life. For example:So far, my b-roll consists of me giving my pup loves, washing my car, talking a walk, etc. 🌻 Don’t do something that feels unnatural to you. Feel weird walking up to the camera playing with your hair? Don’t do it. You’ll look awkward and people will see that. 🌻 Let your voice come through in your hook and caption. I’m sure you’re getting tired of hearing this, too. 😆 “Your voice” … what I mean is if you were sitting down have a drink with a friend or family member, how do you sound? Do you cuss a lot? Do you use funny slang? Are you sarcastic? When you finish writing your caption or hook, ask yourself… “is this how I sound in person?” 👌 Not exactly what

Politics have become more important than their education. 🥋 We just coughed up $1,300 for marital arts over the summer to keep our son active and engaged doing something he loves. 🍲 Buying organic food for our family is at least an extra $500 a month because our “regular” food in this country is chemically filled crap. I’m not being a debbie downer, these are just the facts. You found me… My better half is the bread winner in our family and provides the income. We’ve used credit cards between paychecks to get by. I was so embarrassed 🫣 I used to be SO ashamed of my house when I started my digital marketing venture. If you look back, most of my reels are outside, in my car, in stores, or the background is blurred out. I kept seeing all these beautiful kitchens and well put together mamas and thought that my lifestyle didn’t meet the online expectations. Well that’s depressing… It’s so disheartening to spend most of our lives working and missing out on SO MUCH living. We work work work until we are 65 just to “retire” being more broke than before.
