And no, I am not just referring to the graphics (although these help convey their brand message).

They all have their own personality...

Tillamook resembles the "Everyman/gal" with their homage to humble beginnings and being down-to-earth and relatable.

Talenti embodies the "Innocent" brand who believes in simplicity and quality.

Oat-ly is the "Liberator" type who inspires you to challenge the status quo and make a change.

1. What do you want your customers to say about you?
2. What do you want your supplies to say about you?
3. What do you want the general public to say about you?
4. What are the related values that correlate with these questions?
5. Identify the overlap in values, and determine the 3-5 values.

Values are the core belief of how your company will conduct operations and present itself. Values must come from the leadership and be on display in everything you do.

- Sincerity - We put our heart and soul into what we do.
- Dedication - We are dedicated to achieving success for our clients.
- Compassion - We are kind and considerate of others.
- Excellence - We produce superior quality work.
- Inspiring - We encourage others to go after what sets their soul on fire.

However, picking a few values isn't enough. You must do three things:

- Be true to the values that you want to represent you and ensure they are involved in everything you do.
- Make them your own. Don't just say respect. Explain how that value is implemented in your brand.
- Use these values to shape your decision, vision, and mission over the life of your brand.

Brand visions require courage. Big ideas, enterprises, products and services are sustained by organizations who have the ability to imagine what others cannot see and the tenacity to deliver what they believe is possible.

Your brand vision should answer where the brand aspires to go, or what impact it expects to have.

Examples of great brand visions:

- Amazon - “our vision is to be earth’s most customer-centric company; to build a place where people can come to find and discover anything they might want to buy online.”

- Nike - “to remain the most authentic, connected, and distinctive brand.”

A mission statement is what you/your organization is committed to doing every day. It provides an overarching theme that guides decision making and actions taken by the business. It can speak to a specific idea, audience, and/or feeling.

Examples of Great Mission Statements:
Google - “to organize the world's information and make it universally accessible and useful.”
TED - “spread ideas”
Tesla - “to accelerate the world’s transition to sustainable energy.”

Your mission statement must explain clearly what you are committed to and inspire consistency and trust.

For example: We are committed [to be, to do, to develop, etc] [today, now, immediately], to [create, design, achieve, accomplish, reach etc] for the [future, tomorrow, next generation, etc].

There has never been a quote that has spoke so eloquently about what my soul has a passion for on this Earth. I have always been drawn to the arts in all forms: dance, drawing, design (graphic, web, interior, exterior, digital, print), painting, makeup...you get the idea. If it creates beauty, I love it.

I graduated with my masters from the University of Florida (GO GATORS) in May of this year because I found a program that would allow me to bring brands consistent, beautiful, functional design across all platforms. I have been freelancing my skills in this field for almost two years now, and love every second of it!

Along the way, I ran into a professional beauty brand that had the best products I’d ever tried, the most beautiful branding, and a heart to change the world. Yeah...I had to be a part of that too. I have been a Beauty Guide with LimeLife by Alcone for a little over a year, and I love every second of it!
