Dairy River

Dairy River Dairy River is not a dairy. http://www.dairyriver.com Dairy River focuses on detritus, ephemera, minutia, and miscellany. Takery is our Editor-in-chief.

We are particularly interested in the built environment, remnants of the industrial revolution, and the more obscure sociological aspects of our collective (musical) consciousness. TAKERY is a human-sized rabbit, raised by wolves in the Ardennes Forest, sent to boarding school in England, baker by trade, banker by occupation, illustrator by necessity, consultant by choice, economist by day and pat

ron-of-the-arts by night. SKUNKFOOT is reported to be a giant flying skunk that breathes fire. SKUNKFISH is understood to be a fish of microscopic dimensions.

HI. When we released the first issue of DR in 2006, it was all HTML, which at the time was I don't know sorta interesting. I'm laying out the old volumes in the manner that we started doing in Volume 10 (ultimately with an eye toward streamlining the website). Anyways, here it is. Something old something new. https://issuu.com/dairyriver/docs/dairy_river_volume_1

DR 13 will be an anthology of fiction. It will be titled, "Truth."

Hi friends. Not that long ago, I had unofficially made the decision to stop publishing volumes. DR wasn't going away, but print volumes stopped speaking to me. But small press publications play a vital role in the marketplace of ideas. They have since the beginning of this country. So I prospectively announce Volume 13. No theme yet. If you've been with us from the start, rotors up. If you don't know what we've been doing here for the last 10 years, read up, and rotors up. Steering committee board of directors and editing subcommittees (all topics) meeting by telex next week. Email me times available.
