The battle of the Valley didn’t go our way but it was a close back and forth exciting affair. We outplayed the Thunder for the majority of the game but the Thunders quick feet and transition game was unfortunately the Rat killer last night. Final score was 11-8. Despard Contracting player of the game is one of our old veterans Aaron Bernasky!! Aaron showed high level offensive skills which lead the team with 3 goals and 1 assist! This young 38 year old is still very much a dangerous weapon when the ball is in his stick. Way to show the young guys how to get it done Aaron! Next game is Tuesday June 18th vs the 2nd seeded Victoria Blazers at Archie Browning 7:50pm. If you’re up for a road trip we will see you folks then!!

That's a wrap on our spring flag football season!! With over 180 football players, 40 volunteer coaches and lots of game day volunteers we pulled off our largest flag season to date. Thank you to everyone that made it a great one 🏈🤩

🚨❗️TRADE ALERT ❗️🚨
Goaltender Justin Geddie from the Nanaimo Timberman has been traded to the New Westminster Salmonbellies.

Justin Geddie was the 32nd overall pick in the 2020 NLL draft. He just completed two seasons with the Albany Firewolves, before being traded to the Las Vegas Desert dogs in May. Geddie played Junior A with the Nanaimo Timberman from 2018-2022 where he won rookie of the year in 2019.

It’s finals weekend! And things have kicked off with a great display of sportsmanship. When the black team unfortunately had to forfeit their U8 semifinal game, the two teams decided to still play just for fun - ending fittingly in a tie. Hats off to the players and coaches from both teams for not losing sight of what it’s all about!
