MWF distributes relief to the people of Tharparkar
These days Tharparkar, one of twenty three districts of Sindh province in Pakistan, is experiencing a famine-like situation after severe drought, and at least 100 malnourished children are reported to have died.

A delegation of Minhaj Welfare Foundation (MWF) has reached Tharparkar district with 10 trucks of relief goods. They distributed relief to the people affected by famine in Mithi, Islamkot, Nagarparkar and Chachro. They distributed the following food items: floor, rice, cooking oil, sugar, red chillies, lentils, biscuits, milk, salt and bottled water. The ration was given to 500 Muslim and 500 Hindu families. A huge medical camp has been set up in Islamkot and in other calamity-hit areas as well.

MWF’s deputy director of operations, Ain-ul-Haqq, assailed the authorities over their failure to provide Tharparkar region with adequate healthcare and infrastructure.
