Crews Clear Downed Power Lines

Be careful as crews continue to clean up downed power lines. Watch what happens when a heavy branch is cut off taught lines:

Dominion Virginia crews were working to clean up downed power lines on Hereford Road just off of Minnieville Sunday morning.

Hurricane Irene Update: A Quiet Evening in Centreville

So far Centreville hasn't seen much bad weather as Hurricane Irene sweeps across neighboring areas of Virginia.

Road Closures And Flooded Streets

Two more "warning" areas by VDOT added to our interactive map: Drivers on 495 mile marker 44 (near the MD border) and the onramps of 50 onto 495 in both directions should "proceed with caution." Roads are slick and/or have some standing water.
