🎣 Wintertime Tarpon Hunt… and a Live Stream FAIL 😬 🎣

Today I headed out to one of my favorite winter Tarpon spots, a place that’s usually money this time of year. Confidence was high, the fish were rolling, and I was rolling out some brand-new kayak decals and a new phone mount on its maiden voyage.

To top it off, I went LIVE on TikTok for the very first time while fishing…

And then…
😳 something embarrassing happened on live that absolutely sucked.

Did I still find Tarpon?
Did the new setup hold up?

🔥 PART 2 is HERE… and the Trout went absolutely WILD! 🔥

This is the second half of that EPIC day on the water with Rick in the Indian River Lagoon. The action was so nonstop in Part 1 that we literally had to go get more bait just to keep up with the madness.

And this time… we drifted straight into a Trout takeover.
I’m talking Speckled Trout everywhere.
Rod bends. Drag runs. Fish after fish after fish.

It was unreal how many we pulled from this one spot — the kind of moment every angler dreams of stumbling into.

So I've been working on my Army memory wall in my office and one of the things I wanted in there was a shelf with some models of the Stryker Vehicles we used in Iraq.

I found a person on Ebay that 3D prints a few different variants of Stryker's with Slat armor (the cage around the vehicle that protects them against RPG's,) so I ordered 2. I order an M1127 RV at 1/35th Scale and this Infantry Carrier Variant in 1/50th scale.

It was just the vehicle with the slat armor. It didn't have any antenna's, blast armor, DUKE anti-IED device, Rhino anti-IED device, Blast windows, camo netting or camo net caging, or traffic cones. I had to make all of these things for this model!

I used clay, wooden dowels, plastic, super glue, and soap stirrers to create this look! The camo netting is 1/35th scale netting, but it still works to give the right effect. I finished it all off by weathering it and making everything look extremely dusty, just like our Stryker's did in Iraq.

I didn't serve on an ICV. These were for line company 11 bravo platoons. I rode in them a few times and did watch a few IED sights in them at a lock position in Muqdadiyah. I spent most of my deployment on a Recon variant and the Mortar variant. You'll be seeing both of those models later on!

This one will most likely be on a shelf behind my desk here in my office.

Yes, they are great bait fish...

They are also a nuisance when you are Sheepshead fishing!

They are as bad as catfish to me sometimes! 🤣😁🤣😁

🔥 BRISK Florida morning… absolute CHAOS on the water! 🔥

I’m back on the boat with Rick, chasing Trout, Sheepshead, and all the usual suspects that prowl our favorite spots. With the cold snap rolling in, we expected Trout…
But we didn’t expect THIS MANY FISH.

The day was so wild, so nonstop, so rod-bending glorious… I had to split it into TWO videos.
Yep. It was that insane.
