This animation is well known for preceding the intro to "The Muppet Show"

Border television - the ITV region that brought you Derek Batey and Mr. & Mrs..
I've yet to find a fully satisfactory video or photo to post for the Border ident, but I do enjoy the brief and slightly eerie clip of an applauding studio audience in the middle of this one.

And how would we define an ident, I hear you ask. A short visual sequence comprising the formation of the company logo, accompanied by a brief burst of music?

My ideal ident would consist of some simple geometric shapes moving into proximity or combination with one another, helped along by a few resonant taps on a glockenspiel.

Oh, and look what I've found - Westward television! Dope!
