The studio is the canvas, and the MPC is his brush. Sly Dunbar paints with beats.
Every week, we'll showcase remarkable songs from the TABOU1 vaults as our Song of the Week. To kick things off, we're highlighting one of our favourite artists, Bunny Ruggs, with whom we had the privilege of collaborating on numerous projects. "I Know Who I Am" was featured on a TABOU1 compilation called "Roots With Quality," released 23 years ago, which showcases Bunny Ruggs' enduring impact on reggae music.
William Alexander Anthony "Bunny Rugs" Clarke, OD (February 6, 1948 – February 2, 2014), also known as Bunny Scott, served as the lead vocalist for the Jamaican reggae band Third World and had a successful solo career. Bunny Ruggs began his musical journey in the mid-1960s and, at one point, was a member of Inner Circle as well as one-half of the duo Bunny & Ricky.
