Had great conversations on our recent Podcast concerning guns -- enjoyment, local laws, safety, violence and activism. We spoke with Jon Corbette -- a Civil Rights advocate, Marie Delus -- a Marine Veteran and sharpshooter and Gun-safety/Gun-Violence Prevention Advocate, Shannon VanEsley, a leader of the NYC Chapter of the Brady Campaign and Johnnymae Robinson, a member of the Brady Campaign and a Million Mom marcher. In a separate BCR Extra Alan and I interviewed two students from a local Middle School on Manhattans upper westside. Arijana an 8th grader and Hudson in 6th grade spoke eloquently on why they organized and participated in the 17 minute walk out at their school. Give a listen! Alan and I agree that there are too many guns in America. If our laws were as restrictive as Japan's, last year there would have been 194 rather than 38,658 gun violence deaths.
