Jiggery Pokery Productions is a music production company run by producer, Laoise O'Brien and recording engineer, Ben Rawlins. Laoise O'Brien is a musician with twenty-five years professional performance experience. During this time she has managed, produced and delivered multiple performances, tours, festivals and events. Since 2011 she has been active as a music producer, producing first her own

albums, and later large-scale projects involving diverse genres and large forces. Laoise's background is in early music but she is equally at home in classical, traditional and folk idioms. Her skill-set includes: project management, studio supervision, score reading, music editing, and art-work management. He has worked on numerous critically acclaimed albums, films, award-winning radio broadcasts, music fesivals and live projects with composers and musicians from the classical, traditional, and contemporary music scenes. He has also produced content for radio, television, and online media both in Ireland and abroad, in addition to numerous projects for individual groups and artists.

Our Story

Jiggery Pokery Productions is an Irish-based audio recording company run by producer, Laoise O'Brien and recording engineer, Ben Rawlins. Having completed a number of successful recording projects together, they set up the company in 2017. Since then they have recorded over twenty-five albums in addition to content for video, radio, and live theatre production. Jiggery Pokery Productions specialises in location recording of classical, traditional, and folk music.

Laoise O'Brien is a musician with twenty years professional performance experience. During this time she has managed, produced and delivered multiple performances, tours, festivals and events and continues to have a busy career as a performing musician. Since 2011 Laoise has been active as a music producer, producing first her own albums, and later large-scale projects involving diverse genres and large forces. Laoise's background is in early music but she is equally at home in classical, traditional and folk idioms. Her skill-set includes: project management, studio supervision, score reading, music editing, podcast production, and art-work management. She works with a number of graphic designers, photo and videographers, technicians, and post-production professionals, in addition to a successful collaboration with recording engineer, Ben Rawlins. Laoise is based in Kilkenny City.

Ben Rawlins has established a reputation as a leading recording engineer. He has worked on numerous critically acclaimed albums, films, award-winning radio broadcasts, and live projects with composers and musicians from the classical, traditional, and contemporary music scenes. He has also produced content for radio, television and online media both in Ireland and abroad, in addition to numerous projects for individual groups and artists and is in constant demand as a recording, mixing and mastering engineer. Ben has been the resident sound recordist with the TU Dublin Conservatoire since 1999. With a vast collection of new and vintage microphones, a fully treated mastering suite in Churchtown, Dublin, and a Prism Audio mobile system for location recordings, he can cater for any chamber or large scale recording projects.
