The Position
The Enterprise Systems Engineer (SE) is a customer-focused technical sales professional who provides high level pre sales support and guidance to customers and collaborates with Territory Managers and partners to recommend and develop appropriate customer solution offerings. The SE acts in a consultative fashion and is looked to as an expert in his/her field by the account team, channel partners and customers.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide pre-sales assistance for sales opportunities to Systems Integrators / (Channel Partners) and customers. Including installations, troubleshooting and training of FireEye products. Refine and research technical requirements of the opportunity.
Focus on technical business development within Systems Integrators.
Define solution options and articulate the benefits of FireEye products.
Provide reporting and feedback on Systems Integrators to Product Management and Engineering.
Work closely with Systems Integrators in the design and implementation/integration of FireEye products.
Understand the Systems Integrators business drivers and how to map these to a customer network platform, including identification of improvement areas in network design.
Education, Experience & Skills Required
Bachelor or Masters Degree in Computer Science or related discipline.
7 plus years pre-sales experience in the computer networking or security space.
Strong leadership skills with the ability to prioritize and execute in a methodical and disciplined manner. Set and manage expectations with senior stake-holders and team members.
Exceptional written and oral communication skills. This role requires an ability to understand and articulate both the business benefits (value proposition) and technical advantages of FireEye products and solutions.
Excellent knowledge of security solutions and technologies, including the following:
Linux, Network architecture/implementation/configuration experience and knowledge of packet flow/TCP/UDP traffic Firewall technologies, proxy technologies, anti-virus, spam and spyware solutions (Gateway and SaaS) Malware/security experience.
Understand and be conversant about FireEye competitors, their solutions, strengths, weaknesses, opportunities and threats.
Overnight travel throughout the region is required.
