A MESSAGE FROM ROB PETERS, HOST OF THE MOBILE DJ BUSINESS PODCAST:

So after this week's DJ Expo, I had several people ask me about the status of this podcast, which was totally unexpected and very much appreciated!

After my dad passed away last year, and with the COVID pandemic, my focus changed, and working on the podcast was something I had to "suspend". I have enjoyed producing this content, but between my family and my booking schedule, trying to stay ahead of episodes and push somewhat fresh content out weekly was something I could not commit to on a consistent basis.

Obviously, things have changed, and based on the kind words of encouragement from people this week, I am re-thinking the future of this platform. So I would like your feedback:

- Do you have any ideas for guests or topics you would like to have covered ?

- Know any potential Sponsors ?

- Is weekly a good amount or would you still listen if we were on every other week ?

Hey everyone...

I hate having lapses in producing our content. I want to try to make sure we are producing content weekly to keep us all going through this difficult time. But this most recent lapse comes with good reason. As some of you may have heard, my father passed away on April 24th.

Dad was pretty remarkable..He grew up south of Boston with my grandparents and his 3 brothers. He was a loving husband of 52 years to my mom, wonderful dad to me and my sister, and a proud Papa to his grandkids. He served our country as a Navy Seabee in Vietnam. He taught us how to serve the community through his service as a member of the Kiwanis, a Constable, and his countless hours of service with various organizations and committees. He was also a proud businessman, operating several gas stations , as well as a limousine company. I worked for him and with him…an experience that provided me with the most valuable advice on how to run a business, and a TON of memories!

When I was in High School, my dad had started volunteering at the local community access studio in my hometown. One night, he asked me to come along. Little did I know that it was the beginning of a path that led me to where I am now.

Today we are having a small ceremony to say goodbye and lay him to rest as a family.

New content will be coming later this week...2 episodes to get us back on track with Howard Wallach and Katie Cabak.
