In case you did not sign up, but would like to enter our 336 Hour Film Competition for the chance to win a GoPro Hero4, read the requirements below:
We hope you are as excited as we are to begin this one of a kind film competition. You will have 336 hours to conceive and create a short film under four minutes in length. You must use the following theme, prop, and line in your film, or will face disqualification upon entry:
Theme: Perception
Prop: Bubbles
Line of Dialogue: "A boy's best friend is his mother."
Your film may include up to 30 seconds of credits (on top of the four minutes allowed for the actual film). We are looking for you to challenge yourselves and make compelling narratives with this given material. Don't go for documentary or simple character sketches. Really tell stories. Your film may include music that you do not own the rights to. Depending on the number of submissions, we will show between 1 and 3 of these films at our film festival on Saturday night, May 16, at Hannon Theatre. The winner of this competition will receive a new GoPro Hero4. If you have any friends that did not sign up, but would like to participate, simply forward this information to them. Your films will be judged by a panel on the basis of story, technicality, creativity, and the overall product.
And last but not least, if you have any questions, ask them.
You must submit your film through the appropriate link on our website by Monday, April 13th at midnight. We wish you the best of luck, and look forward to seeing your films.
