A little taste of upcoming music from Hughes Taylor! “Dark Roast” is dropping on May 17, 2024

An old soul hailing from Macon Georgia USA, Hughes Taylor was immediately drawn to the blues when he first picked up the guitar. Two decades later, he’s become an acclaimed guitarist and songwriter playing a fiery brand of blues-rock whose power trio lineage stretches back to Stevie Ray Vaughan, Cream and Jimi Hendrix.

News from The Galaxie……….

***UPDATE***

Many of you have messaged and asked about The Galaxie Agency showcases at the 2024 IBC.
Our beloved BB Kings will be doing renovations beginning January 2. It is doubtful that they will be finished before the IBC begins. I checked with another venue which was happy to host a one day showcase.

After consulting with Leroy Ellington and Katie Willison, we decided to reschedule the showcase. The three of us want this showcase to be about Suki. None of us feel we can move forward in January without her. We all need more time. She would push for us to move forward because “we always have s**t to do”. But we need more time to grieve and adjust. We will be planning an event during BMA week to honor Suki’s love of the musicians, the music, and The Blues Foundation. Our goal is to purchase her a brick. Hopefully a brick as big as her heart and her love for the music. We will be posting more about that later.

Thank you to all who support The Galaxie Agency. I could not have done these showcases without Suki, The Topeka Blues Society, Leroy Ellington Productions and you guys. Thanks for understanding our need for time.

Orphan Jon had the concept of creating an animated video for this classic Blues song, and with his bassist Aaron Underwood's connections, was able to partner up with Wichita State University's Shocker Studio's to create this music video.

Huge props to Jalen Cooper and his team of Shocker Studio students for taking what was once just an idea and masterfully producing "I'm A King Bee" for OJATA.
