Every individual such as fishermen, rafters, paddle sports, families who uses the American River Parkway needs to be aware that the Army Corps of Engineers plans to rip out all trees and plant life along the American River from How Avenue to just below Gristmill to make levee improvements. Probably most of you have seen what a mess they made to the river in the River Park and Sac State area, and that is how the river will look after the new project is completed. It will take twenty years before it grows back. If you care about the future of the parkway, please log on here https://www.americanrivertrees.org/ and sign the petition to stop this project.

Grassroots volunteer advocacy to preserve Wild Scenic American River Parkway trees, wildlife corridor habitat. Oppose Corps of Engineers (USACE) destructive bulldozing & oak tree removal in river bank erosion project contract 3B, SEIS/SEIR Dec 2023 (Watt, SARA Park, Mayhew Drain zones).

Had an amazing two days with guide Tim (Fox's Poopah) Fox on the lower Sac. My friend Ned and I each caught two of the largest non steelhead Rainbows that we've ever caught on the Sac. Day three, we hooked up with Jayson (Jadacator) Cockrum who guided us on the Fall River that turned out for me personally, the best day I've ever had on the Fall. Many fish to the boat for both of us.
