Last weekend we had the pleasure of meeting the owners of the iconic 600 year old Crooked House in Lavenham Alex and Oli. It was so much fun to step inside their medieval wonky house and get to experience what it must feel like to live in such a historic building.

Lavenham in Suffolk is absolutely magical and delightful with more than 300 listed buildings so we can wholeheartedly recommend a visit.

Happy Thursday everyone! A couple of weeks ago we drove to Exmoor (our very first time there - it's so beautiful) and stayed at the most wonderful B&B called 'The Great House'. A stunning Stuart house from the 17th century. We stayed at the gorgeous 'Lorna Doone Suite' and the owners Sheila & Bruce were so kind and allowed us to film all 5 rooms that you can book for a lovely getaway. They are all very different and perfectly decorated in the English country style.

If funds were endless, we would love to live in a Georgian property. We fell in love with the gate house at Wolterton Park in North Norfolk also known as the Georgian Cottage and enjoyed a 3 night stay there. It's absolutely wonderful and we can really recommend it if you're looking for a unique and special holiday accommodation set in the glorious English countryside.

Happy Thursday everyone - we hope you're all well! A couple of weeks ago, we spent a weekend in Peebles in the gorgeous Scottish Borders and stayed in Queen Mary's Chamber at Neidpath Castle. We came across this place last year and booked it back in 2022 because it's quite popular and also a wedding venue so we had to be early. When you book Queen Mary's Chamber (which is the only bedroom in the castle), you got the entire castle to yourself. It's absolutely amazing! Another most interesting fact is that Mary Stuart visited the castle in 1563 and stayed on the very same floor. She visited the noble Hay family who were her trusted friends. While we were in Germany, we visited Trier after such a long time. It’s supposed to be Germany’s oldest city (its history dates back to the Roman Empire) and we explored spots we haven’t seen before.

It took some days to really process the death of the Queen who we grew up with, we didn't know anyone else (from the perspective of Germans). My Mum sent me a message telling me about her passing when I was working for YouTube and it left me utterly shocked. I'm still in Germany until tomorrow and it will probably feel very different to return to the UK. We hope you're all well.xx

Last week we posted our video about our first visit to the Isle of Wight (in case you missed it). We went to Osbourne House, holiday home of Queen Victoria & Prince Albert! It's absolutely beautiful and you can easily spend all day there. There's so much to see and explore. And before we took the ferry back to Portsmouth, we also had to check out the Needles, a famous landmark on the Isle of Wight.
