“Conversation Sanity” is a new and ongoing collaborative musical project between Hugh Middleton of Mid Ayr and Thomas Calder of Daggy man.
The goal is simply to provide ongoing creative inspiration. The method of exchanging random journal entries, with the task of creating a song based on each-others writing, is the source of that inspiration.
Whether it be an abstract idea inspired by the text, or a literal interpretation, each installment of “Conversation Sanity” will be something different, unique, and new.
“Hugh has always been one of my dearest, closest friends, and we’ve always shared a special bond through music. I think we understand each other deeply on an important emotional level and our individual musical journeys have always been strengthened by each other’s support and encouragement to strive and grow. This project is basically an extension of an ongoing love between the two of us as creatives, and humans.”
