XX Remembers Wally Amos...

IF you are old enough to remember the original Famous Amos chocolate chip cookies, then you KNOW what an incredible cookie it was, about the size of a half dollar with pecans and big chocolate chips. It was a revelation. We would buy packages to have with hot cocoa during the holidays. They were truly gourmet cookies. Then Wally sold the business and it turned into this nickel size hunk of glued together crumbs that sorta tasted like the original....a little.
So Wally has passed away at age 88 and took his Aunt Della's cookie recipe with him. We'd love to see somebody make that recipe again. Recipe In Peace Wally.
