Working on a book about our Full-Time on the road in Betty Jo (The Airstream) and the chapter I am working on now is Favorites - we were always asked, "what's your favorite." My list is a lot longer now than it was after our first year on the road. :-)

We are always asked - "what's your favorite?" Favorite place. Favorite thing you did. Favorite RV park. Favorite food. Favorite, Favorite, Favorite. This list was hard to do but it here it is.

A little peek into my book about our Airstreaming days. This is from the chapter about us as a couple, and also what I learned about myself.

What I Learned About Myself While RVing?
This journey had been a profound learning experience, offering me the freedom to truly be myself for the first time in my life. I discovered I am braver than I ever realized and more outgoing than I thought possible.
I learned the importance of savoring moments of pure peace and allowing myself to slow down. That it is okay to stand on the beach and simply listen to the waves. The joy in the little things constantly reminded me of the beauty in everyday life. Each day on the road was a day of gratitude, affirming why we embarked on this journey in the first place.
Most importantly, I learned we have a bucket list—a reminder of the dreams we are living and the adventures yet to come.

Working on the Scenic Drives section of our Airstreaming days Book.

The Intro:
Childhood Adventures and Lifelong Wanderlust

Some of my favorite childhood memories were the rare times my stepdad would pack us all into the car and take us for a drive, either through the countryside or along the winding roads of the Rocky Mountains. There was something magical about the landscape whizzing by, igniting my imagination and setting me off on new adventures. I think it was during those drives when I realized I had a deep-seated wanderlust, a need for exploring that still calls to me today.

What better way to satisfy that wanderlust than to spend two years on the road. This country offers such diversity and beauty, more than anyone could ever fully explore. For me, the best days were when we would hop into the truck and just go for a drive. Even driving across the country on a highway offered glimpses of stunning landscapes, each one feeding my desire to explore and discover more.

The following are just a few of our favorite drives. Some were not suitable for towing the Airstream, but the drives where Betty Jo (the Airstream) joined us, were just that more special.

This story would not exist without the "Real" Betty Jo. A woman of boundless adventure, dreams, and a zest for life. This book is dedicated to her, for providing us the means to explore and find our own journeys, and for always supporting our dreams. We miss you deeply and are eternally grateful for the immense role you played in our lives. "Thank you" doesn't suffice for all you've done for us, and "we love you" barely scratches the surface of how much you truly meant to us.

Embarking on full-time Airstreaming was the turning point where I finally grasped the essence of “living in the moment.” It was then that I truly comprehended its significance and value. I found myself cherishing each moment, embracing it wholly, and feeling genuinely grateful for the time.

Embrace the present for it will soon become the past.
