Thank you for selecting “Breath” as a finalist in the microfilm category for this years digital summit. A lot of amazing people came together to bring this project to life and get it out to the masses. That battle is still in full swing, but we are so thankful to Wanda and Rebekah for sharing their voice and passion for saving America’s Largest Intact Temperate Rainforest. You can watch “Breathe” on YouTube - see link in bio! .arthur

WILD AGENCY 2020 SHOWREEL

Our planet is facing unprecedented challenges, but everyday there are heroes stepping up to fight for a future where both wildlife and humanity thrive.

We're fortunate enough to call some of those heroes clients, and we thank you for your tireless work and dedication to building a better tomorrow.

At Wild Agency our mission is to help share the work of these amazing heroes with the world to drive impact and change.

We harness storytelling, data, and strategy to bridge the gap between a message and audiences and we are so proud to share a sneak peak of the results in our 2020 Showcase.

Climate change, wildfires in the west, deforestation, sustainable tourism, seafood bycatch, and endangered species were just some of the topics we tackled this past year. Many of these issues are dark, but seeing the impact on audiences has fueled our drive to a whole new level.

Thank you to our amazing clients and conservation friends:

AND a huge thanks to our hardworking, nimble, creative team who helped bring these films to life:

Our short film "Breathe," about the importance of the Tongass National Forest to climate change, is a finalist for the World Wildlife Day Film Showcase! Winners will be announced March 3 at the UN Headquarters in New York. Congrats to our partners, SeaLegacy and Women's Earth and Climate Action Network, creator Pioneer Studios, and especially to the film's stars, Kashudoha Wanda Culp (Tlingit) and Rebekah Sawers (Yup’ik, living in the Tongass with her Tlingit husband and daughter.)

In October we had the incredible opportunity to visit Raja Ampat, Indonesia with Oceanic Society and Courtney Mattison to shoot and produce a short film about climate change and coral reefs. We are truly at a turning point for our oceans, and it is time for action. It can sometimes feel like climate issues are too big for an individual to matter, but combined our voices, votes, and actions will help change the world for the better. Join the movement to help save the oceans and learn more about how you can reduce your impact on coral reefs around the globe. http://bit.ly/OS50RajaAmpatBlog

We’re so thankful today for all the dedicated citizens working to conserve and protect the wild lands and wildlife that make our planet so spectacular. From those fighting industrial logging, ocean plastic pollution, sagebrush wildfires, climate change and so much more, without your persistence our planet would not be as healthy and beautiful. Huge thanks to our amazing clients, partners, and production team - .society .arthur .leatherback .fisk.johnson @ Tongass National Forest

It’s not too late to take action for the Tongass and save America’s rainforest. Comment at www.salmonstate.org/climate-take-action to tell the U.S. Forest Service what you think of this shortsighted plan — and tag a friend who might be interested in commenting, too.

At 17 million acres, the Tongass is not only America’s largest national forest, it’s the largest intact temperate rainforest in the world. It stores and absorbs vast amounts more carbon than any other forest in the United States. It’s wild, it’s wet, it’s huge, and it draws comparisons to the Amazon.
The Tongass’s millions of trees are not only vital to the long-term health of all five species of wild Alaska salmon, brown bears, black bears, wolves, Sitka blacktail deer, mountain goats, and the region’s human residents, they’re also vital to the long term health of the rest of the planet.
Over the protests of Alaskans, Americans, and sovereign indigenous governments, however, the Trump Administration plans to strip protections for more than 9 million acres of the forest — including some of the world’s last remaining stands of ancient Sitka spruce, hemlock and cedar trees — in order to open the land up for roads, clearcut old growth logging, and industrialization. This would plunge our world further into a climate emergency.

We are proud to partner with , , and .Intl on this film, created by and starring indigenous activists Kashudoha Wanda Culp (Tlingit) and Rebekah Sawers (Yup’ik, living in the Tongass with her Tlingit husband and daughter.)

Wrapping a two week trip to one of our oceans last thriving hotspots - Raja Ampat Indonesia. I can easily say that I have never seen such a spectacular diversity of life on earth and it was a reminder of what we have to lose if we don’t act to protect our planet. “A society grows great when older people plant trees under whose shade they will never sit.”

My dad shared this quote with me a few months ago, but standing in a desolate sea of stumps, it hit me hard. This is the Tonga’s National Forest, our public land, being sold off to the highest bidder. These old growth trees represent some of the last great forests on our planet. Many are older than our nation itself, supporting one of the last great wild salmon fisheries on earth, critical brown bear habitat, tourism, subsistence and so much more...

I’ve had the incredible opportunity to spend the better part of a decade traveling and capturing the beauty of the Tongass National Forest. Now the state of Alaska seeks to reverse a twenty year old federal protection that threatens 9 million acres of temperate rainforest forest.

The time to battle is here...films coming soon...check out the article in my profile for more info on the topic and let’s raise our voices to preserve our public lands for future generations and all the life that depends on them for survival.
