Over the last few months, & I have been building a custom 70's style P-Bass for the studio. After gutting it & a lot of choices for parts, we finished it today. Packed with martin pickups & la bella flats, I'm excited to use it as an all-rounder! Shoutout to my old boy for the spray. Stoked with how this rig came out!

Massive congratulations to the Lines Of Conviction lads on the release of their debut album ''Too Long Between Drinks'' today. It's been one of the most challenging yet rewarding 15 months & I'm stoked to say that we wrapped up mixing the debut L.o.C album over the weekend. Off to mastering & then it's out for your ears 🙌 Looking forward to seeing what everyone thinks of this one, it's pretty vibe-y

With a few artists lately doing a bit of self-prod, I've hooked the live room up with a keyboard & mouse as our main pre's can be accessed via computer.

Happy to discuss studio hire for this too but intermediate engineering experience & knowing Pro Tools/Logic is required 🎵

Kicking things off with a ripper! Debut single coming Oct 20. It's been a hillarious project with these lads & getting to mix the album with Wade Reynolds is a privilege.

“Do you give me everything?”

Lines of Conviction has been hard at work at Imocean Studio with Kaleb Treacy and Wade Reynolds since March of 2022, and we couldn’t be happier to finally share the results with you all. Our debut single, “Open Hearts”, will be released on October 20th.

Even though we are a relatively new band, Dean wrote Open Hearts over 8 years ago. Since we started getting together, this has quickly become a favourite of ours. This single is also the opening track from our forthcoming album, “Too Long Between Drinks”, which is currently slated for release mid-December.

To celebrate the release of our single, we’ll be playing a set at the Margaret River Ag Show on October 21st. Tickets are on sale now, so please head over to their socials and secure yours today!

Our biggest thanks to Kaleb and Wade for helping us bring this song to life, our graphic designer Josh Fiegert for the amazing artwork and to Sachin Parker for his contributions and time to the album.

It brings together Mitchella & Majinda Hutchins, Richard Nelson, Vivian Brockman-Webb, Dan Christos, Di Gee, Naomi Anderson, the McGuinness kids & myself as well as many others and features 2 songs. One live spiritual song to open and then a healing rap made from single lines various kids & adults wrote.

Yesterday we wrapped up the sessions for the Wardandi Project. 3 super fun days  creating a song off mostly improv - 15 people, differing ideas & a whole lot of love. Mastered song is now off to be put to video

Hooley dooley!! I found a steal on an old high specc'd MacBook that has opened the door to more opportunities. Stoked to be able to offer you guys off-site multi-track recording with my full 24 input rig 😁😁 I think it's time to track some drums in a gymnasium or a church 🙌

Moving the amp heads a while back had me thinking, ''why choose to have the studio look beautiful over its practicallity?''

Snare drums are now on display making flicking through them a breeze. And my extensive guitar chain is permanently hooked up, just a matter of adding in your pedals (if need be). Creativity at the click of our fingers, life just got easier! Loving it 👍👍✌️

Stoked this new single has been released today! Was such a buzz from producing through mixing cause ideas never stopped circulating, I had to stop myself from throwing too much at it. I'm pretty proud of what we were all able to put together. Congrats to the boys - Super talented people & even better humans.

As much as I love producing, I've realised that mixing gives me even more enjoyment. So I've been slowly focussing on the craft & all it's amazing nuances. Comes as a bonus too because it gives the ability to mix for anyone, anywhere if I'm the right person for the job!

Running a purely digital mixing set-up these days with a beautiful range of plug-ins, some that are emulations of famous mixing gear (not quite the sound, but close enough).
