Listen now to Episode 158, in which we discuss podcasting with podcaster Mark Long, host of "Driven To Ride." It's a little meta, we admit, but still fun and informative, and don't forget about the news - YES THE NEWS! - about a slew of new bikes you might want to check out and Harley's dismal Q3 performance.

Listen now to Episode 157, in which we dig into Bosch's Advanced Riding Assistance Systems (ARAS) with an *actual* engineer from their Two-Wheeled and Powersports Division. That's right - Daniel knows what he's talking about! And now, thanks to him, so do I! (well ... a little bit. he's wicked smart)

Recalls can be confusing. Actually, what gets confusing is whether or not something actually is a recall. Instead of continuing to wonder about what a recall really is and how it happens, I got the info from the source: the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration. They connected me with *three* experts, all of whom have motorcycle experience (that was a total coincidence, I didn't even ask them for riders like I normally do).

Check it all out, plus industry news about KTM, Bosch, Ducati, CAKE, Ohio State University (what?) and more, in the latest episode ( #156!) of Chasing the Horizon.

If you research & write about a geographically significant correlation between major motorcycle rallies and the number of organ donations and transplants, you have to know Chasing the Horizon is going to want to talk about it! Find out more (and how to read the study for yourself) in our newest episode.

Heard you missed me!!

Well ... I hope you did, at least :)

We are BACK! with all-new episodes of your favorite motorcycling podcast. We missed you too, by the way.

Join us and hear from retired motor officer Quinn Redeker, whose mission is to spread the word about BMW's authority bikes across the USA. Plus, he grew up the son of an actor in Hollywood, so you know he's got some good stories.

Welcome to the SHOW!

People always want to know how you got started. “How’d you get started?” They ask. It was easy in this case.

I started listening to podcasts a few years ago, but nobody was doing a podcast about the motorcycle industry at large. There are plenty of motorcycle-related podcasts, but they all seem to focus on one concept or genre of the sport, rather than looking at motorcycling as a whole. I wanted to hear THAT podcast, with news about the industry and interviews with all sorts of people involved in motorcycling, from regular riders like you and me to CEOs of major manufacturers.

Thus Chasing the Horizon was born. Thanks to my affiliation with the BMW Motorcycle Owners of America, the primary sponsor of the show, I have access to a wide variety of industry figures and experts. Because part of my commitment to podcasting (and journalism in general) is to be as unbiased and open-minded as possible, the show is make/marque independent. Yes, there’s lots of BMW-oriented folks on the show, but BMW Motorrad is not my focus.

Motorcycling is unique in that it is an inherently independent activity, but part of a massive community of largely like-minded people. We all have our preferences, but whether you love two-stroking it up the side of a muddy hill or potato-potatoing across the freeways of the world, Chasing the Horizon is your podcasting home.
