Oh. My. Goodness. 🤦🏼‍♀️ To this day, whenever my dad hears the word “orange” in any part of any conversation, he says “knock, knock.” My 4 and 6 yr olds also love this joke so I hear it all day long. Have you heard it?

Everyone seems to think that winter means Christmas, but Winter starts on December 22 and continues until the spring equinox(which is March 20th this year). We are in the thick of winter right now. And if you’re missing the soft glow from your Christmas tree, put some twinkly lights around your house to make your homefeel more cozy as the winter weather sets in.

Christmas was always so magical growing up. Every Christmas Eve, my sisters and I would sneak down the stairs and look at all the presents under the tree in our front sitting room, but we never went past that front room. Because we knew the rest of the magic of Christmas was beyond that. The magic was the tinsel all over the Christmas tree that appeared overnight. It was in the powder room that was completely redecorated with Christmas towels, rugs, and even holiday toilet paper. It was in the kitchen and breakfast room with the new Christmas table clothes, dish towels, paper towels with candy canes on them, new Christmas placemats, and twinkling garland. It was in the family room with the stockings, fully stuffed, hanging in front of the fireplace, and it was in the basement, with another tree decked out with glittered pinecones and a large family gift: a foosball table, a racetrack, a Barbie dream house, or remote control cars for everyone. Sometimes there were even new Christmas decorations on the front porch. We never knew what we would see past that front sitting room, but we knew it would be magical.

That is what I want to recreate for my girls. The magic of Christmas. The cozy, warm, magical feeling that anything could happen, and never knowing what to expect.

Yesterday we spent the day at Legoland Dallas and had a blast! And the best part of all was that thanks to my social media pages, my direct sales, and my affiliate programs, I was still making an income while having fun with my girls!

Today, my sister, , and I took the girls to LegoLand Dallas for the very first time and we all had a blast!

Every year around Christmas, all the kids at church would get a candy cane with a little note tied onto it with a ribbon, almost exactly like the photo below. And that’s exactly what it said every year.
