Happy Wednesday! As we’re nearing the end of January, time seems to be flying by. The month markers, although trivial, are small reminders that we’re being propelled forward in this life. It’s a small warning to enjoy where you’re at as well as motivation to keep moving forward. One month down, 11 to go. Day and month and year markers can make us crazy, but they can also be a reminder that you’ve made it through your hardest times. One foot in front of the other. You can do this.

It’s so easy during this weird transitional period of the year where you’re starting to get back into routine but suddenly feel the pressure to change so many aspects of your life to just feel as though you’re floating. Remember to do whatever grounds you; whether that’s taking a walk, writing, reading, yoga, talking to a friend, running, etc. When you feel like you’re just floating through life, it makes it difficult to focus on what’s really important. Ground yourself and focus on the positive. We’re already half way through January; it doesn’t have to be a time to change your life, just a time to change how you react to the environment you reside within.

Let's Celebrate!
Today, let's celebrate your small wins and well...you! You deserve it!
Life is sort of like the ocean. It ebbs and flows, changes with the tides, and is affected by a myriad of different external forces. Under these forces and pressures, the ocean reflects its emotions through waves, tsunamis, hurricanes, and stillness. In life, it’s important to remember that we are allowed to react to these external factors in a way that helps us process. We can laugh, cry, dance, sing, or just be still. It’s up to us to react outwardly or to let ourselves be still like the ocean. Some days have waves, others have tsunamis. One thing is constant: us. You’ll always be there for yourself, you just have to choose what that will look like. Today, do something kind for yourself that will bring some stillness and peaceful flow into your ocean.
