Strawberry scones from our Food Guru blog! So easy and really tasty. Since we didn't have any oranges, we used tangerine zest instead! It works great 👍. Added a little extra maple syrup to sweeten up the strawberries too.

Welcome to 💪🏻for a real Kraut pleaser and here’s how to spruce up your sauerkraut! Along with green cabbage, I added shredded carrots, daikon, apples, turmeric, ginger ➕dried roses, Aleppo pepper flakes, fennel seeds, juniper berries, preserved leftover lemon pulp, and hibiscus sea salt. After 10 days of watching it transform from raw to a probiotic rich condiment, I put a heaping healthy helping on top of my grilled sausages. I never can thank my friend, Karen Digg (a health guru and creator of a easy DIY fermentation device ) enough for inspiring me and many thousands of loyal fans. Support her latest kickstarter campaign with her little fermenter called 💚
On our recent trip to Kathmandu, Nepal, we were excited to stumble upon this gem of a local restaurant, where they made naan for each order.
— Last week had a 😊Fruitful evening handpicking raspberries and blackberries in Lake County. It’s about 2 1/2 drive north of San Francisco. @ Edenberry Farm
💜Enjoying the fruits of our labor in the hills of Healdsburg (Sonoma County, CA). The farm was opened up to the public to pick blackberries from their thornless vines. They raise pigs and lamb, grow flowers for sale, produce a range of seasonal fruits/veggies, and make some incredible wine🍷See link in profiles for a recipe on our favorite seasonal dessert— Blackberry, Lemon, Upside-Down Cake. @ Front Porch Farm
Healthy Flavors Galore with grilled chicken apple sausages, sautéed onions and red bell peppers❤️, a dab of Cornish ale mustard💛 (my U.K. trip souvenir), and homemade probiotic pickles💚accompanied by roasted, seasoned sweet potatoes🧡

Just returned from a trip to the UK and what an earthly experience visiting The Lost Gardens of Heligan in Cornwall. I have some serious garden envy and was in utter awe checking out all the fruits, veggies, flowers, tropical vegetation, vast variety trees, and so much more. We logged in about 5 miles of hilly walking, too! @ The Lost Gardens of Heligan
Scooped up a medley of veggies in the fridge and roasted them with 🍋lemon oil, 🍋DIY minced preserved lemons, 🍋Sicilian lemon sea salt, za’atar, sumac, smoked paprika, chopped, dried Bhutan peppers, and minced garlic. mmmmm goooood😋
❤️ Feeling 🥔Chipper as I carbo load before a 3 day kayaking trip in the San Juan Island
What a fun-tast-ic day in Sonoma County —We were given a large container and went out in fields to hand-pick plump, ripened blueberries. We even gobbled up some as we were picking them. We had a pre-lunch dessert of homemade blueberry ice cream. They are open Friday, Saturday, and Sunday throughout the summer. This is a fun and berry fruitful activity for both kids and adults😍💙 @ Duckworth Family Farm
After a 10 mile afternoon/ evening hike, we were famished and stopped at 123 Bolinas for a sumptuous, springtime dinner. I highly recommend this quaint dinning destination in the funky town of Fairfax, Marin County💚

The appetizer that turned into a healthy and filling meal over the course of 3-days. In the middle of this veggiefest is a homemade white bean hummus seasoned with 🍋all kinds of ingredients. Many thanks to one of my favorite food bloggers OMG! Yummy for this stellar recipe (see website below, click recipe index, appetizer and snack, and scroll down). https://omgyummy.com/
to the towering old growth redwoods in Muir Woods located just a few miles from my home. To avoid the crowds, there are several places to hike down to the floor (where the bigger redwoods are) from Panoramic Highway. Many trails lead to the epicenter and along the way you’ll notice a plethora of younger redwoods. It’s a site behold 💚 @ Muir Woods National Monument
filled up on deliciousness at in Los Angeles.
celebrating a friend’s 60th birthday with some mighty fine dining . The service was off the charts with meticulous detail to my food aversions. Their small plates composed and paired delicate spring ingredients that left a lasting impression on this finicky eater. @ Sons & Daughters

❤️ a sweet highlight during last month’s trip to South America. Dangerously positioned at a massive buffet at a hotel on the Brazilian side of Iguazú Falls, just couldn’t pass it up😊

It can be baked or fried and be any size. It is the most popular food in Argentina, and you'll see it on most menus. It can be an appetizer, snack, or meal. Traditionally, the filling is meat but you can stuff it with anything you like. The photo is from a recent trip to Argentina with a stopover in Buenos Aires at an artisan market. It was made to order (hot and fresh).

I have been making sourdough bread for about 6 months, and I am both addicted to the making and eating of it. It takes time but it is time worth spent. See second photo for my latest production.
I have been an avid Instagram follower of Deanna () for about 5 years. Deanna's following is vast, active, and loyal. As one of her many fans, I am thrilled that she finally launched a blog called Homestead and Chill. She is a homesteader that utilizes her small yard to grow most of her produce, raises chickens, ferments all kinds of food, (including Sourdough Bread).
See how Deanna simplifies the detailed process of making Sourdough Bread.
Also, we are in the beginning stages of growing our own food, and she will be a valuable resource to us. If you have contemplated or already have a garden, then Deanna's blog and Instagram feed is the ideal place to virtually go for DIY gardening.

a few weeks ago 🐰Hop in and 🐷pig out at Peony Seafood Restaurant to experience their incredible small edibles, a Dim Sum establishment in Oakland, CA. Our Chinese guide and guru, an award-winning Chinese storyteller and cookbook author Madam Huang's Kitchen personally ordered every course. After many hours of feasting, we strolled around Chinatown perusing all the spring offerings at the local mom and pop markets. It was a day for the memory books. @ Peony Restaurant
