If you know me personally… you know my favorite food on the planet is Cinnabon!!
Now that I’ve had weight loss surgery…. I’ll never eat them the same way again.
Then I see this protein shake!! I knew I had to try it!!
I’ve got to get a blender bottle, because I’ve only ever had premade shakes… but stay tuned for my honest opinion!!

An early morning post… 😂 (hospital life)
This morning I’m feeling the best that I have post surgery!!! 🙌🏼
My right hand is almost back to normal (not tingling) but my left hand is still a bit tingly. It feels so weird for my hand(s) to feel asleep for such a long period.
My core is still sore… which is to be expected after a major surgery. But I’m moving easier today! I was able to turn and sit a cup down, which I couldn’t do even last night.
The not being able to eat or drink hardly anything is wild! I honestly never remember this ‘full’ feeling in my life. I know that seems weird to some… but I would either still feel hungry or I’d overeat and feel sick. Never just full!
Here’s to hoping I get to go home today!! I miss my husband, my pups, and my bed! 🤞🏼

I promised the good and bad.
Surgery went well. I woke up in recovery with something in my eye. And both of my hands tingling (like they’re asleep).
Got eye drops finally and got my eye feeling better!!
Hands are still tingling more than 24 hours later! 🥴
My 1 night hospital stay has been extended… as I’m not making the progress they wanted to see.
Not sure how to get down 1 oz of liquid every 15 minutes yet. That’s so wild to me that I can’t. But I’m working on it.

2 more days till surgery!!!!!
It’s still surreal to me that FINALLY this is happening!
I have to be at the hospital at 5:30 am Tuesday morning… and it’s a 3.5 hour drive! 😬🥴
(I’m not a morning person by any stretch of the imagination!)
I’ll be back post op and we’ll take this journey together!! 🖤

Hair… out of control!
Brain… spinning!
I’m vitamin shopping today. Post bariatric patients require vitamins for life, so they don’t become nutrient deficient.

I don’t meal prep. It’s just never been my thing. However… it’s a must so I know I have the foods I need!
Pre surgery diet starts tomorrow!!
Low fat, low carb.

I got my surgery date!!! It’s not quite as soon as I hoped honestly… but I’m under 1 month!! (I’m just impatient!!)

A massive struggle I have with obesity is finding clothes that fit!!
IT. SUCKS.
So much!
In place of this, I buy my dog so many clothes… because he gets excited to get dressed! He wears pjs to bed nightly. My female dog refuses clothes. 😂
BUT…. I want to be able to buy myself clothes though!! Cute clothes. Comfy clothes.

I wondered for a while if I was just getting excited for nothing. I guess after too many disappointments in life you expect them. 😂

Spent a beautiful Saturday at the beach. I’ll never take for granted that I live just minutes away from here!
I’m still waiting on my thiamine results from the lab. 😬 And I have such little patience when I’m waiting for something I want so desperately!! 🤞🏼🤞🏼 that I get my results all submitted to the bariatric surgeon this week. Then I can schedule my surgery!!

I mentioned having an off day to my hubs on Friday, and he brought me home flowers! 💐 Not sure what I did to deserve someone so thoughtful!
It helps to have him in my corner with encouragement and love! 💕
If you don’t have someone in your corner telling you… I will!! You’re doing a great job! You can overcome any obstacle! 🖤

I’m a wife.
A mom.
A dog Grammy (even though they live with me).
Life long Chiefs fans.
A Swiftie.
Our daughter is almost 22. We’ve been empty nesters for almost 4 years! 😳 Tbh… we still don’t quite know what to do with our time.
Our 2 pups were our daughter’s when she lived at home, but when she moved, she was unable to have animals. So they stayed. There’s no separating us now.
My hubs is my best friend. My rock. He holds me together. Helps with many things I can no longer do.
We’re both originally from Missouri. We moved to South Texas in 2022. I needed warm weather and away from a place in life that was detrimental to my mental health.

How amazing is this!?!
Swung by the beach after my bloodwork and ekg this morning!
I should have my bloodwork results in a couple days…then I schedule my preop and set my surgery date!!!
It’s getting so real! I often wondered if it was ever really going to happen… but I’m so glad it is!!
