The Mother & Son Dance is important and as emotionally-charged (in a beautiful way) as the Father & Daughter Dance, but it typically gets a lot less attention when wedding planning. It doesn't have to actually be the father dancing with the bride - it can be any person in the bride's life who is important to her. And it needn't be a male member of the "family." Usually, this dance comes after the Father & Daughter Dance at the wedding reception. It will be be filmed and photographed, so give attention to playing a song meaningful to you and your father.

Hey brides - our good friends at Timber Hill Farm in Gilford want all couples/families to rest assured that the fire they experienced last night was NOT in the wedding venue barn. If you have booked your wedding - or are considering booking at Timber Hill Farm - your event will run as scheduled. The fire, although understandably devastating for the owners of the property/farm, has not affected the venue barn, which is elsewhere on the property. All the farm animals were removed and saved which is also a good thing. For any questions on your wedding, or to send good thoughts, visit
