The inauguration of the Family Health Center in Idamalakkudy, the only tribal panchayat in Kerala is today..
Idamalakkudi, where only tribals live, is located 36 kilometers north of Munnar town, inside a forest with the presence of wild animals. Setting up a better health center here has been a long time dream. The health workers had earlier reached Idamalakkudy on foot for activities including the injection of children by walking more than 20 kilometers from Pettimudi. Change is coming for that too. The Idamalakkudi Family Health Center is becoming a reality as a result of the continuous interventions conducted by this government.

ജനകീയ വികസനത്തിൻ്റേയും സാമൂഹ്യപുരോഗതിയുടേയും കേരള മാതൃക രാജ്യത്ത് വീണ്ടും ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനത്ത്. നീതി ആയോഗിൻ്റെ 2020-21 സുസ്ഥിര വികസന ലക്ഷ്യ സൂചികയിൽ ഏറ്റവും മികച്ച പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങൾ കാഴ്ചവച്ച സംസ്ഥാനമായി കേരളം വീണ്ടും തെരഞ്ഞെടുക്കപ്പെട്ടിരിക്കുന്നു. കോവിഡ് മഹാമാരി സൃഷ്ടിച്ച പ്രതിസന്ധികൾക്കിടയിലും നമുക്കിത് സാധിച്ചു എന്നത് നേട്ടത്തിൻ്റെ മാറ്റു കൂട്ടുന്നു.

2018-ൽ നീതി ആയോഗിൻ്റെ ആദ്യ സൂചികയിൽ ഒന്നാം സ്ഥാനം കരസ്ഥമാക്കിയ കേരളം തുടർന്നുള്ള വർഷങ്ങളിലും ആ സ്ഥാനം നിലനിർത്തുകയാണ് ചെയ്തത്. 115 വികസന സൂചകങ്ങളെ അടിസ്ഥാനമാക്കി 17 പ്രധാന സാമൂഹ്യ ലക്ഷ്യങ്ങൾ എത്ര മാത്രം കൈവരിച്ചു എന്ന് കണക്കാക്കുന്ന ഈ സൂചികയിൽ 100-ൽ 69 പോയിൻ്റായിരുന്നു 2018-ൽ നേടിയത്. എന്നാൽ ഇത്തവണ അത് 75 പോയിൻ്റായി ഉയർത്താൻ നമുക്കു സാധിച്ചിരിക്കുന്നു. ദാരിദ്ര്യ നിർമ്മാർജനം, വിശപ്പു രഹിത സമൂഹം, വിദ്യാഭ്യാസം തുടങ്ങിയ വിവിധ മേഖലകളില്‍ കേരളം ആദ്യസ്ഥാനങ്ങളില്‍ ഇടംനേടി.

കഴിഞ്ഞ അഞ്ച് വർഷങ്ങളിൽ വിട്ടുവീഴ്ചയില്ലാതെ നമ്മളുയർത്തിപ്പിടിച്ച വികസന കാഴ്ചപ്പാടുകളും പ്രതിബദ്ധതയാർന്ന പ്രവർത്തനങ്ങളും ആണ് ഈ നേട്ടങ്ങൾക്ക് അടിസ്ഥാനമായത്. കൂടുതൽ മികവിലേയ്ക്കുയരാനുള്ള ആത്മവിശ്വാസവും പ്രചോദനവുമാണ് നീതി ആയോഗിൻ്റെ പുതിയ സുസ്ഥിര വികസന സൂചിക നമുക്ക് തരുന്നത്. അതോടൊപ്പം സാമൂഹിക, സാമ്പത്തിക, പരിസ്ഥിതി രംഗങ്ങളിലെ വികസനമുന്നേറ്റങ്ങളെ സമഗ്രമായി പഠിച്ച്, അന്താരാഷ്ട്ര സൂചികകൾക്കൊത്ത് കേരളം എവിടെ നിൽക്കുന്നുവെന്ന് മനസിലാക്കാനും ഈ പഠനം സഹായിക്കും.

അനവധി വെല്ലുവിളികൾ നേരിടേണ്ടി വന്നെങ്കിലും ഇച്ഛാശക്തിയോടെ അവയെല്ലാം മറികടക്കാനും ഒറ്റക്കെട്ടായി നാടിൻ്റെ നന്മയ്ക്കായി അടിയുറച്ച് നിൽക്കാനും കേരള ജനതയ്ക്ക് സാധിച്ചു. സമർപ്പണത്തിൻ്റേയും സാഹോദര്യത്തിൻ്റേയും മഹനീയമായ ആ മാതൃകയ്ക്ക് ലഭിച്ച അംഗീകാരം കൂടിയാണിത്. കുറവുകൾ നികത്തി കൂടുതൽ ആർജ്ജവത്തോടെ ഒരുമിച്ച് ഇനിയും മുന്നോട്ടു പോകാം.
