Good new week everyone, I know I've been absent for some time, but I e been dealing with some issues that we're both dangerous and extremely stressful.
But this caught my eye for some reason
How is it they can hold these board meetings about doing things like this, simply to remove the homeless from Miami to protect the tourist industry and Miami's. Paradise like image.
But it seems extremely difficult to hold the very same meetings to help and house the homeless. Miami is a billion dollar city with so many funds and opportunities availability to help the Homeless of Miami & The homeless entirely.
I was a former homeless woman on the streets of Miami over 8 years and it took my own research and my own efforts to get myself off the streets. I've had many approach me with so called help ending up receiving none .. .or trying to get me to sign my name agree to getting help on their terms asking if I were willing to relocate ...but never disclose where.
So please be wary of what's going on and get to the libraries and phones if you have them pay attention to the news , and the board meetings they have concerning the homeless of Miami Florida
I personally think this is even disgusting to even consider doing such a thing to people who are vulnerable and needy and have little to no options in their lives when most just want a chance to live a normal life and rebuild back into society
That option should not have even been considered at all. Much less talking about a island. How obsurd
I know because when I was homeless in the street each time there was a event held in Miami especially around the bay front downtown Miami areas.. the police literally forces the homeless not be visible while tourist are there, they give out maps to the tourist pointing out where homeless are, using the 💩 emoji to point out where homeless sleep and use the bathroom (most aren't allowed in bathroom) so often relieve themselves at ..warning the tourist to avoid those specific areas
It was meant for me to come across this article. I couldn't even believe what I saw.
So please be wary of what you sign or agree to once approached about "housing"with things that sound too good to be true

Because society wants to rid the homeless population like they are "rodents" or pests" thinking it's much easier to just throw them away and not having to help them ..hide the Shame from the rich

Despite my ongoing personal problems I'll always advocate and speak for the voiceless
Once I get settled, I'll put more time into advocating for the homeless
