The new "can't decide if you are my people or not but I LOOOOOVE your food and irritating Popeye and scaring hell outta Nora" tuxedo female gardening cat has taken the back yard as her's. I don't mind. She sleeps on the fallen upper trunk of the white pine, on my almost dead and rotten 54 year old swing, on the back deck steps or on the north deck steps, or on the sunny corners of the uncollapsed deck.. and once, rarely, on the Mexican blanket I folded up between the plant racks on the kitchen porch.
I met the lady who saved her and knows her quite well. Apparently her (the cat) name is Chlorine. I told her James calls her Mouse but when she yowls at me she has that distinctive siamese yowl, and I sometimes just call her Mao Mao. We talk and chirp and trill at each other.
Now she has taken to standing on her hind feet that are white stockings, and pawing the glass of the outside security door and asking to be let inside.
This cat apparently is opportunistic. LOL
