"The life of Duke Da Mayor" It has been a lot of ups and downs. A lot of smiles and a lot of frowns, but I couldn’t let it slow me down. Ever since the fourth grade I had this thing for rapping. I never expected it to go this far. I remember rapping on the porch with Ry-lo at my grandmother’s house; those were the good ole days. As I got older I stop rapping and fell in love with basketball. Until the day I was face to face with the CEO’s of Str8greatness K-Dee and D-Smooth. They brought the interest of music back in my eyes in December of 2009. Ever since then I have been on a money mission and very focused. I started back rapping and got signed with Str8greatness and have been making major moves for the team. My first song I recorded was "I B Jigging" with Rylo and peps J-snow. That was the little town of North’s (247) banger. I have come a long way and I have a lot to offer the economy. Plenty hits such as club bangers, Radio hits, and classic after classic. I am putting on for South Carolina, the Palmetto State. What separates me from everybody else is that I’m half country half city. I was born and raised in the metro, but spend a lot of time in Orangeburg County in the little towns of North and Wolfton. Sometimes I just sit back and think about how people live life looking; searching for them wanting to know who they really are. I remember growing up wanting to know who I was in life. One day I ask my mama (Doris Harley) who I really was. She looked in my eyes and said, “Baby boy look into your heart, only you know who you really are.’’ As she spoke to me the only thing I could think about was my father (Ricky Harley) and how different life would be if he was still here. So I went to my room that night, laid cross the bed and watch my life flash before my eyes. I was born December 27 1992. I was born with a thing for music. I came in this world with drum sticks already in my hand. My father use to make sure we were on time for church because he was the drummer. I guess what they say is true (like father like son) because I play the drums also. I don’t know what happen after my father die I just turned into a badass. I started getting into all kinds of trouble. I continued running my mama crazy. But when I hit my late teen years I clam down a lot. I started thinking about bout where I’m going to be 10 years from now. I didn’t want to end up dead or in jail so I started doing stuff to take up most of my free time which was making music. Round my fresh men year at North High School was when I really got into making beats. I use to practice every day on software called Fl Studio. It had seemed like every beat I made was better than my last. I started rapping too. I remember it like it was yesterday, just me in my cousin, Big Country, Josh, Step, J Mann, and Country Fat just sitting on my grandmother’s front porch free styling. I never thought I would make it to this level, but I’m here now and I'm going to take the rap game by storm.
