This episode was recorded on 5/15/20 before . As Marcy Harriell puts it, “This week was created to . We are instead being muted by a swath of black squares, and while it might read as solidarity, the only thing we see in our feed is ads.” We think there is no need not to have voices be heard or stories be told, so for that reason, we want to start posting these episodes so that we can move forward telling the stories from the people that we want to tell stories from. Here is the first of two podcasts that were recorded before the protests, "Why are we Designing?" featuring a brilliant designer and a good friend of ours, Jennifer Blanco. https://www.tempormag.com/footnotespodcast/episode-13-why-are-we-designing.

Friends, "TEMPOR" Issue 02 is here! We are excited to welcome Falon Mihalic as our very first writing contributor. In her essay, "Stories from the Florida Panhandle," you will learn about her fears and strengths when traveling alone to remote locations, and how she deals with anxiety during her wild encounters in the swamps through a series of collages that accompany her piece. With two long-form essays, Scott Cartwright writes about Florida’s longleaf pine and how this ancient, almost extinct tree, connects with him growing up and leading a woodworking business. He also writes "Thick as a Brick," an essay about Samuel A. Mudd and how the famous story of the country doctor shapes the way in which we think about U.S. policies, human rights, and even leisure and entertainment.
