ix Sound’s new location at Pinewood Studios has been operating since October 2005. We bring to Pinewood our comprehensive knowledge and experience of recording music for film and television, complimenting the existing multi-media presence already on site, and building on our distinguished history. Phoenix employs a 72 channel Neve VR console with up to 48 channels of multitrack recording through a Pro Tools HD3 system. An array of outboard is available from such manufacturers as Urei, Neve, dbx and Focusrite (a full list of equipment can be seen on the website; www.phoenixsound.net). Our live room is very spacious with a high ceiling and can fit up to 35 musicians comfortably. There are two isolation booths available and acoustic screens for a wide choice of separation possibilities. It also includes a Yamaha C7 grand piano and a choice of backline equipment.
