Dubussy is a musician and producer from Florence, Italy. His musical journey begins at an early age with the piano and a classical approach, leading him to the Florence Conservatory.
His personal epiphany for music happens when he witnesses the sound of a dub Sound System and feels the bass ‘roar’ for the first time. That’s when he starts crafting his own tunes and experimenting with dub, trying to recreate that powerful feeling that changed his life. Over time, he teaches himself to play new instruments, such as Trumpet, Melodica and Handpan.
Travel is a big part of his creative process, as he constantly draws inspiration from the places he visits and the people he meets. Though based in Florence, his nomadic lifestyle fuels his creativity, shaping a sound that is as fluid and evolving as the journey itself. His sound is strictly antifascist, anti racist and driven by a spirit of resistance and unity.
His debut EP, Horns n Tentacles, is entirely self-produced and mixed in his small home studio in Florence and mastered by Dubmatix

Produced by Shanti-K, the new track is entitled Alive and it is presented on this digital EP in five different versions: The title track with Sister Maki and Steve Fox on the vocals, the dub version by Shanti-K, a special melodica cut with Aki Mittoo, a dubwise melodica cut by Shanti-K and as last tune on the EP a raw dub by Shanti-K for the soundsystems.

The New Zealand dub & dub techno producer going by the name Subset is releasing his first EP on Duophonic Records.
He is no stranger in the independent electronic music scene, having releases on labels such as Dimbideep, Deeptakt, Drift Deeper, Arctic Dub, Telrae, Dubmission Records, ROHS!, Echogarden, Hello Strange, Deep Electronics, Superordinate Dub Waves, Tehnofonika, and his own label The Dub Factory, along with curating the net radio station Chillkyway.
His live shows range from downtempo dub to dancefloor-ready dub techno, with tracks rearranged and augmented on the fly, utilising custom touchscreen controllers and MIDI synths triggered by live guitar. His latest was a mini tour in UK & EU, with highlights being a two-hour live set at Ozora Festival in Hungary and taking the stage to perform an impromptu jam with Children of the Bong during their live set..
His new 4-track dub/reggae EP is entitled Version 20 : Four parts dub, one part deep house, equal parts minimal and techno, dusted with an organic blend of evolving atmospheres and live filtering delays. Served fresh in the Sunday sun, containing a rich & lively mix of live instruments, organs, horns and melodica. All tracks are written in 2022 and we are happy that they found their home on Dubophonic Records. We hope you will enjoy them.
