MOMEM makes u dance!

The exhibition "MILESTONES - Favorite Clubtracks 1985-2020" is making visitors dance at MOMEM. As a little support, over 50 photographs by 10 photographers from all over the world show the passion of dancing. One of them is Tilman Brembs.
The photographer and Berlin resident Tilman Brembs has been living in the capital for over 40 years and has been following the cultural and subcultural development of Berlin for just as long. He was always very close and not just a chronicler of the early techno scene from 1991 – 1997 but rather an integral part of the music scene and party culture.

We're happy to welcome Iranian-born producer and U.S.A. based DJ Dubfire to our roster of artists for Italy.

He is an artist with three decades of expertise in electronic music. He achieved commercial success as Deep Dish and is known for his drive, talent, and intuition. Dubfire is a future-forward visionary, constantly innovating and evolving. He has played at top clubs and festivals, runs the SCI+TEC label, and explores the boundaries of audio and visual technology with his shows.

Ali 'Dubfire' Shirazinia, formerly of the electronic music duo Deep Dish, pursued a solo career in underground house and techno. He is known for innovative releases, including his remixes of Plastikman's "Spastik" and Radio Slave's "Grindhouse." He has also produced remixes for diverse acts such as Nitzer Ebb and UNKLE, and co-produced tracks on Underworld's Barking album. He collaborated with Miss Kittin on the singles "Exit" and "Ride."

Dubfire has been pushing the boundaries of the concert experience with his HYBRID show since 2015. He compiled ten years of his best tracks and remixes for his retrospective album HYBRID – A Decade of Dubfire. Dubfire also collaborated with Oliver Huntemann on the Retrospectivo 2008 – 2016 album and helped found the Dublab team in Portugal. He continues to collaborate with other artists and work on experimental projects like the Museum of Modern Art's MetLiveArts project.

The documentary Above Ground Level chronicles Dubfire's journey from the 1979 revolution in Iran to becoming a successful artist in the electronic music scene. The film tells a human story of hard work and sacrifice, highlighting the pursuit of the American dream. For Dubfire, the documentary marked the end of a decade and the beginning of 20+ years of creative exploration and pushing the envelope in electronic music.
