They're challenging political and social barriers.
Women often bear the brunt of climate change's impact. In Guatemala, they also have become some of the country's most visible environmental activists.
In an effort to galvanize both wild and captive chimpanzee care and conservation communities, as well as engage our collective audiences and networks, a group of organizations is leading the charge in launching the first ever World Chimpanzee Day to be held on July 14, 2018.

Meeting with some of the World’s biggest banks these women are putting the pressure on to shift away from investment in fossil fuels to renewable energies.
First Nations women have met with European banks to push for fossil fuel divestment as the United Nations releases a model for banks to account for climate change. Grassroots action is helping the movement gain momentum.

The ban on single-use plastics that will come into force next year has already seen McDonald's phasing out the use of plastic straws in their UK stores.
If we put pressure on our governments to make the right decisions we can affect real change.
The UK is set to ban all sales of single-use plastics, including plastic straws and Q-tips from the country as early as next year.
We hear a lot of doom and gloom reports about plastic pollution and they are saddening to hear but it is important that we do hear those reports because when we do we are galvanised into action and when we act this can happen......
