VAM VAM IS A FULL SERVICE IN-HOUSE VIDEO PRODUCTION COMPANY. We believe that the marginalized are the bedrock of culture and art.

Our work is indicative of a transformative movement centered around celebrating the things that make marginalized people different. There’s a humanistic approach to our storytelling that shows the complexities of black, brown, and q***r lives while normalizing subcultures perceived as a danger to society. It’s about stories manifesting from a pluralist mindset and humanizing characters and creator

s often sidelined in media. In a time of uncertainty, our attempts to create innovative high-concept art has been proven to inspire and transcend cultures far beyond America. We aim to create a world in the production industry that utilizes the abundance mindset as a revolutionary tool in storytelling for black, brown, q***r, trans, non-binary and femme representation. ➖We will discuss their journey into filmmaking; the personal and political impetus behind FINESSE; their award-winning collective and company, VAM STUDIO; and more.

🎥: We will also show snippets of Martell’s series, . An original series directed and written by Martell, FINESSE is a 5 episode series centered around a chosen family of three roommates who depend on one another to get through the world as black artists and s*x workers in Chicago.

▪️Starring , , and Vincent Martell, FINESSE is a colorful s*xual adventure centered around the hustle of a chosen family of black artists and s*x workers. In FINESSE, we see black q***r people in control of their bodies. It’s a world that acknowledges that the abundance of black q***r intimacy can and will be used as a revolutionary tool in storytelling.

Still deeply processing last week, where we did two exclusive screenings of RETRIEVAL & FINESSE at . Both of these projects have been so personal and vulnerable to me & & we wanted to bring them forward intentionally, in a small intimate setting & to be able to talk about them with folks who we love & respect so much.

(We ended up showing these projects to to over 100 people in two nights. Which is incredible.)

Making RETRIEVAL humbled me and taught me so much. I’m beyond grateful for the crew who was so instrumental in making this vision possible (especially ) and for everyone who helped make this possible— through love, kindness, donation, listening, sharing. Truly, this project wouldn’t have been possible without community. & it was so incredible seeing Finesse on the big screen & seeing Vince work so hard & thoughtfully to bring that project to life. & to & who were absolutely stunning in it ✨

I’m so grateful to , .yeker .r.d.n_ & so many more. I can’t wait to keep sharing these projects with the world 💗

The majority of the people who have worked and are working on RETRIEVAL are q***r, femme, people of color and / or survivors. We’re in the final stretches of this film, and very close to raising the final $10k for post to help us finish the film on . This campaign would give us the funds for color correction, editing, score, music licensing, VFX, sound design, film festival submission fees, and marketing.

We have received grants from Sundance and ISF that have been incredible in helping us cover pre-production and production costs. Now we need some help in raising the final expenses for post. Thank you for your support!
