This morning, the JMAA team proudly attended the 34th Annual Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Prayer Breakfast, hosted by the Hinds County Legislators at the Greater Bethlehem Temple Family Life Center.

Our CEO, Rosa Beckett, delivered a heartfelt welcome that was met with thunderous applause, beautifully connecting the strength and resilience of our airports—JAN and HKS—with Dr. King’s enduring legacy of impact in our communities and across the globe.

Together, we celebrated and reflected on the dream—a vision of unity, progress, and hope that continues to inspire our work and purpose every day.

As we honor Dr. King’s legacy, we remain committed to building stronger communities and paving the way for opportunities to soar. ✈️

I’m so grateful to the many nurses, doctors, family members, and friends who fought through medicine and prayer for my angel baby and I to safely get through the scariest moments as I suffered preeclampsia.

Because my organs were failing during my pregnancy, my daughter had to be delivered 3 months early. If my doctors and nurses did not move into action to care for us… and the prayers of many did not go forth, neither of us would be alive today.

I can’t image the pain my family and friends would have endured if we did not survive. So on this day, , I’m reminded that adequate, affordable, and available healthcare for women should never be a debate. I’m alive… my daugther is alive because I was afforded the healthcare needed to live and be the mother God intended for me to be for Demi.

So here we are, 8 years later, happy, healthy, thriving. 💜

You know how you get this sick, empty feeling like you didn’t do enough to show someone you appreciate or admire their drive? You know how sometimes you feel like you didn’t say enough to encourage someone?

That’s how I feel right now. At my very early beginnings, BJ had my back. BJ pushed me to pursue my passion. While I was out there telling everyone else to go for it, I was afraid to step out on faith. But BJ, BJ told me over and over that I’m great. That I’m built for this and only I can do what I do.

Y’all remember that big TLSA NetSocial I hosted at the Cedar House nearly a decade ago, that was BJ pushing me. He even catered for me because he said he believed in me that much.

I supported his restaurant and ideas and events. He was such a genuine soul. God, I wish I could tell him how much he inspired me and so many people here.

All I can say is thank you. Thank your for believing in me. Thank you for supporting me. Thank you for shinning your light. Thank you pouring love into everything you did. Thank you for being YOU.

Rest easy BJ! We already miss you. 💔

Hi, I’m LSherie of The LSherie Alert and it’s already been 5 years! YES! Five whole years and I can’t be more proud to have you still hanging in there with me! LOL Seriously, it’s been an exciting and challenging roller coaster, but the ride isn’t over yet! This positive media platform will continue featuring amazing people from all over the world; promoting events; and working with businesses to increase awareness and even boost sells.
