I’ve been around these two my entire life and nearly their entire marriage. After only 6 months he knew… she knew. It doesn’t take long to recognize what God has ordained when you listen to His voice and obey.

Best friends and soulmates… a rarity today, but their love is proof that commitment, communication, and compassion is possible for the ling haul.

Some people see y’all and say you’re unicorns - that your marriage is too hard to find. I believe that yall just refused to give up… continued to show up for each other and learned to love unconditionally through the years.

Thank you Mom & Dad for being the example of what God puts together… y’all know the rest!

Members of the JXN Run Club of Jackson, MS – Wilton Jackson (5k race), Jaylon Anderson (5k race), David Josey (19k race), Aniecia Brewster (19k race), Founder Timothy Orey (5k race), and Terryal Thomas (5k race) – met up in Washington, DC October 5, 2025, for the annual District Run Collective Race. Wilton finished third overall in the 5k race. Established in 2013, the District Running Collective is a free community-based organization that uses running to promote wellness, culture, and community. The goal is to provide all levels of runners with the best resources, community, and support along their running journey. Of note, Jaylon Anderson, a former WJTV news reporter, recently relocated to the East Coast to work with FOX61 in Hartford, CT.
