Crystal Wilkinson, a recent fellowship recipient of the Academy of American Poets, talked about her recent book, Praisesong for the Kitchen Ghosts, a culinary memoir at the Library of Virginia last night. Kitchen Ghosts has recipes and stories that cover five generations from her enslaved relatives to the present day. This was the last Carole Weinstein Author Series for 2025, which supports the literary arts by bringing both new and well-known authors to the library.
