37 years ago today I became an entrepreneur. At 29 years old - I had spent years in radio and TV news. The industry was changing and I wanted a change. I started a video production business and literally - after showing my first corporate production - I got into a car crash. I was in a wheel chair for 4 months. My attorney suggested taking pictures of my condition/progress, and I thought why not use video to document it?
That thought would change my life and create a career path I’d never imagined. Now, I’ve been documenting evidence for 1000s of cases involving paraplegia, quadriplegia and death for nearly 4 decades!
No one calls me with good news! Yet - I get to tell stories of faith and determination and learning to cope with life’s new normal for those who’ve suffered catastrophic injuries. More often than not - it results in a settlement versus a trial.
These clients demonstrate incredible resilience, strength, patience, and understanding. I believe this calling to tell their stories is my greatest life lesson - to put myself in their shoes and ask myself am I doing MY best? Am I digging deep to find inner strength? Am I trusting faith over fear?
I am so incredibly grateful for this journey and I know my 25 ft ladder fall and subsequent surgeries — made me a much better writer and producer. I also know my clients stories gave me the fortitude to get up and live life on a whole new level! I am blessed. I am grateful.

No one calls us with good news… unfortunately many of our documentaries involve a death. This week we were at a National Cemetery in Georgia. It is always somber and the reverence is profound!
