𝐏𝐚𝐫𝐭 𝐈𝐈

𝐄𝐧𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐭𝐡𝐞 𝐬𝐞𝐦𝐞𝐬𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐰𝐡𝐢𝐥𝐞 𝐩𝐥𝐚𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐚𝐧𝐝 𝐞𝐧𝐣𝐨𝐲𝐢𝐧𝐠

The final requirement in the course Philippine Traditional Games, a major course in the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) program of the Institute of Teacher Education (ITE), was conducted as a culminating activity on January 11, 2024 at MCC Dapdap Campus where the second-year BPEd students taking the course played a few of our country’s very own traditional games with a twist.

With its course instructor, Ms. Susan E. Manuel, both sections of BPEd 2-A and BPEd 2-B played the traditional games namely: “Pabitin”, “Basag Banga”, and “Sisiran ng Pera sa Arina” with exciting prizes that await the participants and winners!

The said games were played by the students with high energy, engagement, and applying the pedagogical knowledge and skills learned in the course.

Not only were both second-year BPEd sections enjoyed the games, but also the students of different programs who were viewing the games and cheering for the players, as the games are being conducted outside the classroom.

As a memorable culminating activity, the BPEd students, as future teachers, will keep the tradition of playing our traditional games alive in their future practice as educators.

𝐁𝐏𝐄𝐝 𝐏𝐫𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐬 𝐑𝐞𝐬𝐞𝐚𝐫𝐜𝐡 𝐏𝐫𝐨𝐩𝐨𝐬𝐚𝐥

With its commitment to academic excellence, the third-year students from the Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) program of ITE presented their research proposals at the MCC Dapdap Psychology Laboratory on January 4 , 2024. This activity aimed to provide a comprehensive overview of the study’s objectives, ensuring its relevance and feasibility.

The panel, including ITE’s Dean Dr. Arvina D. Sarmiento, Dr. Conrad M. Buerkley, Dr. Genesis G. Dimalanta, Ms. Susan E. Manuel, Mr. Celter Cris P. Torres, faculty-in-charge of the BSEd Social Studies and BPEd programs, reviewed the proposals. They shared their insights and suggestions to improve the students’ research.

The event served as a platform for students to refine their research skills and improve their presentation capabilities. It highlighted the importance of promoting critical thinking and effective communication skills, integral to the teaching profession.

The Institute of Teacher Education’s (ITE) Bachelor of Physical Education (BPEd) program students, particularly in the third-year level, successfully conducted their Teaching Demonstration in their Process of Teaching P.E. and Health course under Ms. Susan E. Manuel, on January 15, 2024 at MCC Dapdap Campus.

As their final requirement, both sections, BPEd 3-A and BPEd 3-B, demonstrated application of learned teaching methods and strategies in the said course through selected lessons on PE and Health like dance, exercise, sports and health topics which are under the K-12 Curriculum with integration of ICT and use of instructional materials (IMs) tailored to their chosen topic.

9. "Paskuhan sa sakahan, Pag-aaning hatid ng SILAWAN"

Our lantern is a timeless celebration of Christmas through the decades, skillfully crafted using recycled and indigenous materials. The front, adorned with an artistic portrayal of a rice field from a 1dimentional perspective through the use of yarn. This lantern stands as a heartfelt tribute to the often overlooked heroes which are the farmers - with the back showcasing their faces and a central focus on a hand offering golden harvest. So may this lantern reminds us that as we celebrate holidays, let us not forget the people who worked hard just so we can have rice in our table.

Last September 14, 2023, Mabalacat City College held its annual welcoming of freshmen, the Tatak Tribu: Makuleng Pagsaga, and the Organization Fair Day, where different organizations put up their full efforts to make the day memorable and extra special for all their Ka-Tribu.
