Introducing our newest release: 'Non-Structures' by Francisco Ibáñez Hantke.
The series ‘Non-Structures’ presents London – and cities in general – as a spectacle of constant conflict, negotiation and flux. Capturing key moments in the life of diverse buildings, the images reveal a condition of transience, trapped as these buildings and sites are between the boundaries of architecture and ruin, planning and chance, process and product.

New release! We are thrilled to announce our newest book: A One Storied Country by @chrisbierl
In 1957, an explosion occurred at the ‘Mayak’ nuclear facility near the town of Kyshtym in the Russian Urals. Although scattered reports of a nuclear accident in Russia appeared in the Western press as early as the following year, the Soviet government refused to acknowledge the event. Later reports would show that two-fifths as much radioactivity was released at Kyshtym as was later released at Chernobyl, with the plume travelling northeast.

New - Utopia Ending / Gianluca Calise
Utopia Ending investigates the urban transformation of London after the 2012 Olympics, and includes photographs taken from 2014 to 2019. Through a large use of text, including three interviews and a final essay, the author compares the current finance-driven development of the city with the after-war expansion based on council houses: investments in social housing have been almost entirely eroded and the new buildings are financial assets for global investors, rather than homes for Londoners.
Gianluca Calise is an Italian photographer specialized in long-term documentary projects. His research focuses on social issues and on themes related to identity, belonging and memory. 2019 Daylight Photo Award juror’s pick, finalist at Urban Photo Awards 2018 and Charta Dummy Award 2021, his works have been published and exhibited internationally.

The last outpost of the West, Los Angeles might be described as the culmination of U.S. cultural history. The L.A. of The Ecology of Dreams is not that of ‘Tinseltown’, sun and surf, as it is commonly (mis)understood, but that of a 21st Century megalopolis after forty years of neoliberal capitalism: a city of corporate empires and militarised police forces, gated communities and environmental catastrophe. L.A. is also a city of deep mystery and strange beauty.

Dhaka Diary is one of the five new City Diaries by Peter Bialobrzeski. Bialobrzeski turns his gaze on the city of Dhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, the fourth-most densely populous city in the world with a population of over 21 million residents in the Greater Dhaka Area. Capturing its crowded streets and back-alleys, Bialobrzeski’s images reveal a city in constant state of development. Dhaka Diary was shot between 21 Feb – 1 Mar 2019 and is the 11th instalment in the City Diary series.
“The trip from the airport into the city takes almost as long as the flight from Dubai to Dhaka. Rickshaws, cars, buses and two wheelers clog the road in a never ending traffic jam” – 20th Feb 2019

Kudzu_animation
New book! "Kudzu" by Sabine Bungert and Stefan Dolfen now officially available.
„The vine that ate the south“ is the common description for kudzu, a highly invasive plant, which grows everywhere in the Southern States of America. Kudzu was introduced into the US in 1876 from Asia. Today kudzu is a huge problem. The plant has found perfect conditions to grow and spread, because of the mild winters in the south and the lack of natural predators. It grows uncontrollably and rapidly up to 30 centimetre a day, and it can become 30 metre long. The plant easily overtakes complete woods, sometimes even houses or mobile homes. The damage is enormous: The vine kills the trees and destroys entire estates.

“I read in a journal an article named “Corruption Kills” and it was really shocking to realise that corruption has deepened in the social and political structure, and that the consequences are not just economic or political, but a matter of life or dead.“

NEW! After another successful pre-sales campaign last year we are delighted to announce that 'Undercover” by Onnis Luque is now officially available.⠀
⠀
On the 19.09.17, an earthquake measuring 7.1 occurred near Mexico City. A number of buildings in the capital were destroyed and at least 200 fatalities have been reported to date. Journalist's investigations into the disaster revealed that many of the buildings affected had been built to improper standards. As a photographer and architect Onnis Luque wanted to address these events in his work. Having lived through both earthquakes inspired him to create a visual metaphor on the uncertainty that these tragedies produce.
