About the Theremin 30 podcast
I created the Theremin 30 podcast as a way to bring theremin musicians, composers, instrument makers, and theremin fans together in a different way than has been previously available*. The monthly podcast is meant to combine elements of a radio news magazine program with elements of a radio DJ music air shift -- all in a compact, 30-minute format. You can listen anytime at http://www.theremin30.com.
All of the full-length music recordings played in the show are used with the permission of the recording artists. The copyrights of the musical compositions are owned by the artists or their collaborators, or are in the Public Domain or Creative Commons. Please support these generous artists by legally downloading or streaming their music, buying their CDs, and attending their concerts.
In addition to the podcast, Theremin 30 hosts a worldwide “Calendar of Theremin Events.” If you have a concert, workshop, or festival you would like added to the calendar, let me know as far in advance as possible.
It takes me about 15 to 25 hours each month to maintain the calendar and to plan, record and edit each podcast episode. I have spent hundreds of dollars on necessary audio equipment and software. I purchase some of the CDs and mp3 downloads that I use in the show. Even with the selling of advertising, I do not expect to ever completely recoup my investment of time and money in this project. If you would like to help financially support the Theremin 30 podcast, here’s what you can do:
1- Listen to the podcast every month. Subscribe to it on your favorite podcast app.
2- Tell your friends to listen to it.
3- Support the advertisers that appear in the podcast.
4- Support the affiliate programs on the website (e.g. eBay, Reverb, Zzounds, Eargasm, etc.) by clicking on the ad banners to shop on their websites.
5- Become an advertiser on the podcast or website. You can promote your CD, workshop, concert or product that would be of interest to listeners. Rates start at $1.75 per month.
6- Consider making a small monthly donation or a one-time donation.
Thank you for your interest and support. I hope you enjoy the show and benefit from it.

*I would like to acknowledge and honor the work of the late David Vesel, who hosted “Spellbound: A Brief Program of Music for Theremin” from 2005 to 2012. His pioneering streaming radio program for theremin music was the main inspiration for my much more brief podcast.
