This page too shall awaken...

Some may say not much has changed.
In a few specific areas, I'd beg to differ.
In others, I'd sure hope not.

Testing...one, two. Midnight Epidemic reunion for Stacy and I in GB this weekend. It's so cool it's almost a secret.

All my love to my Valley Friends who kept me so busy over the radio-silence 2015-Present. We must have done 80 gigs in 2 years...driving from Escanaba to WI and back each time. (Stacy has a Koozie from almost every bar show after spring 2016. Still going strong, eyes on the Stupid Rad Merch Co "F**k your Koozie" one next. ;) )

Ready to set up some spring open jams...I'll bring all gear. Msg if anyone's interested in the Valley.

Open Jam session musicians needed! Gas and Hospitality included. I can provide all from an acoustic set to an open mic, All Sound Provided. Hit me up if either/or sparks your plug!

A few oldies as usual...but maybe some with webs on them and all!

In-house demo producers. Stop it, you two...I can't track while you watch! Too much corporate pressure!

A.O.D. Boys Of The Summer, Don Henly

Most proud of the the drum take by memory, then the editing and splicing w/ a scratch guitar track to make the entire sequence. After that, the rest of the instruments fell into place and I kept the direct in, simple scratch tracks in this mixdown. Might keep it as the master!

Tracked everything direct in, from the dynamic mics to the emulated Fender Strat/acoustic and the active Ibanez - everything turned out sounding &q...

Next up: Finish the Henley/Ataris cover of a cover as the summer ends, tying up the message and music to season just perfectly...or a slower, acoustic cover of a chick-fronted surf-pop-punk band? Is summer ending or just starting? I can't tell - I've already begun to hide inside. That should give me a clue...

"...if you weren't messed up in the head a little bit you wouldn't be the awesome artist you are." Best honest advice I've gotten for a while; could only have come from a friend who has known me for many years :)

Half-cocked, stuttered like a dummy and had to use and old friend's amp: Here is an 'abridged' version of a song I use to play out years ago. Left the bridge and last chorus out, because I said I can :) The Electra Color rocked, and Tom - their Keys-Master - followed me in a pretty decent last-min opening act format. Fun, being put on the spot!

A little help from my friends...and all of sudden I'm on stage with my Fender strat running through an awesome Orange 4x12.

Paralyzed (Acoustic) - Bob Mould Cover

http://snd.sc/18dMA6R - Pretty sick for these vocals, but once again, I am enjoying the simplicity of my nice mics for the first time ever using the 4x4 interface. Trying to keep it real, even if I'm all stuffed up when vocal takes come around! A little delay to pay homage to the awesome original version of Bob Mould's song "Paralyzed" off 2005's Body of Sound.

Bob Mould - Paralyzed An obvious display Of feelings that have dissipated And I don't have a clue where to start You wouldn't let me near you ...
