Today was the 22 year anniversary of this game. I spent a lot of the day continuing the routing of a speedrun for the game. Upon entrance to the last dungeon im approx. 50 minutes ahead of the world record. I dont think ill take an hour off the record after all but its still been a really fun run.

With my arbitrary 'anything over 15 years old is retro' rule, things are starting to feel a lot less retro towards the tail end of the podcast. That being said today is the 15 year anniversary of the PS2 here in the USA.
Thats a big reason why the show is ending in the next few weeks. So come listen to the final episodes starting this sunday!

Sorry there was no show today, but i hope you got as much gaming in as i did! I went to 'tilt' in VT a barcade that just so happened to have the top 3 arcade games of all time (as well as the top pinball machine of all time)! Be sure to tune in next week and GAME ON!

Happy 20th Birthday to the SNES RPG that America Missed Out On

This is one of my top 5 games I've yet to play. I won't be able to really cover some of the gems like this on the show, but they do still hold a special place with me.

On October 20, 1995, Enix released Quintet’s Tenchi Sōzō, a spiritual followup to their earlier ARPG Gaia Gensōki, or Illusion of Gaia, in Japan. Nintendo localized and published the game, as Terranigma, in Europe and Australia—but unlike Illusion of Gaia, Terranigma never officially made it to North America.
