Birmingham City Schools is partnering with Birmingham police to conduct active shooter training at the school.
The goal is to test and evaluate Birmingham City Schools’ preparedness and ability to respond to an active shooter incident.
BPD says to expect to hear loud gunfire.
It may also take longer to get through that area tomorrow.

🚨 BREAKING: Former President Donald Trump has been found guilty of all 34 counts of falsifying business records in NY hush money trial.
Falsifying business records is a class E felony, the lowest level in New York, and carries a maximum prison sentence of four years. If convicted on multiple counts, the sentences are likely to be served concurrently, meaning the maximum time served would still be four years.
Trump calls the verdict "rigged and disgraceful."

MONTGOMERY, Ala- Montgomery pastor Gregory Sheldon Cannon, 61, is in county jail after being indicted on charges of first-degree sexual abuse and first-degree so**my. The allegations, not publicly detailed, involve “forcible compulsion.” Cannon, pastor of Rice Temple A.O.H Church of God since 2003 and first assistant presiding bishop of A.O.H. Church of God, is being held without bail. An "Aniah's Law" hearing is set for May 28.
Our sister station WSFA has contacted the church and Cannon’s attorney for comment. They have not yet responded.
