We're still not really on Facebook, but the website NashSevereWx.com is redesigned and professionally maintained. We've got at least daily long-form forecasts with occasionally funny jokes, a Twitter widget (that's our jam), and even a radar for whatever it is ya need.

Before the big storm event Wednesday, “impulses” will continue to bring rain Tuesday, with a few non-severe thunderstorms mixed in. These will more “hit and miss” than the more focused/organized showers we will see Monday, so expect rain off and on all day Tuesday, with totals potentially varying qu...

Overcast skies prevailed last night. We did not have any snow, officially, at the airport. Temperatures aloft were well below freezing, but temperatures at the surface stayed in the upper 30°s. The problem really wasn’t the temperature profile, but there simply wasn’t enough moisture on the back ed…

Hey y'all. During severe weather, please just go to Twitter. This is awful. If you know why Facebook won't deposit the tweets here like it says it will (I've set it up!), let me know, let's sit down and figure it out. So frustrating.

20/09/2012

I've turned "on" the link between Facebook and Twitter again. I cannot guarantee you'll get every update, because that has to do with your Facebook settings for which I have no control.

The only way to guarantee you get every update is to follow on Twitter.

I would prefer to allow you to "subscribe" to this page, thus guaranteeing you get every update, but I don't think that's even an option. It appears the only option is to allow subscribers on my personal page - which I don't want to do - instead of this page. If you know how to fix this such that anyone can subscribe to this page -- and *not* my personal page -- I'd really appreciate that.

Thanks!

Facebook was slow before, but now it continues to fail to deliver information sent from Twitter. As an unreliable platform I prefer not to continue using it. You can find updates on twitter or here http://www.nashvillesevereweather.com/home/Davidson_%26_Williamson.html Sorry for this inconvenience, but I would rather give you no updates here rather than lull you into a false sense of security that they will be here when they may not be. David.

Just a reminder -- although Facebook continues to be great for many things, it's not the best place to get our updates. Hop on over to Twitter where we are alive and well!

01/06/2012

Hi FB friends. FB did another rotten job of collecting all the tweets on this page. This is why I don't promote this page! I encourage you to follow on Twitter to be sure you get the information you need :) Thanks for "liking" us!

Hi FB friends! Just wanted you all to know that there is some suspicion that Facebook "penalizes" (for lack of a better word) updates sent from a third party application. The information you see here does not come from me posting directly to Facebook. Rather, all information you see below comes from TweetDeck.

I raise this because I have concerns that some information may not appear on your Facebook timeline as quickly as it would if I put it here from Facebook.com. While I plan to continue to link this page with the tweets from , I want to encourage you to join the 2,000 people following the feed at the source. https://twitter.com/ #!/NashSevereWx

Twitter may be unfamiliar to some of you, but you can figure it out :)

If you have questions, comments, suggestions or concerns, please let me know. Thanks for following. Be sure to continue to get your weather information from as many sources as possible.

Hi FB friends ... you probably missed this through the retweets, etc, so I thought I'd add that the explosions were intentional -- Franklin Fire Dept disposing of excess explosive black powder.

Hi Facebook Fans! I wanted to follow up on those last few posts. If you want to send in a severe weather report, you can't do it through Facebook (for several reasons, the biggest being that Facebook isn't the best way to do this [Twitter is]). You'll have to sign up for Twitter and send it in that way (by tweeting " [your report, picture]). Thanks!

07/10/2011

The Nashville Scene has awarded NashSevereWx the title "Best Weather Updates." nashvillescene.com/nashville/best… Thanks!!

17/08/2011

The story comes out on-line tomorrow, and in print (assuming it's picked up) Thursday.

19/07/2011

Apparently Twitter is being hacked. I have two accounts, both show no one following and no one being followed. No severe wx in the area. Just lightning in Davidson Co. Storms diminishing.

19/07/2011

Hi FBookers: Twitter is down for some reason. Watch out for lightning in Davidson Co.
